Trivia: Laura Appleman, a transplanted New Yorker, lives with her husband in Salem, Oregon (but makes regular trips up to Portland, which she enjoys). Usha Rodrigues’s first name is pronounced OO-shuh, and she’s the former editor-in-chief of the Virginia Law Review. Rose Villazor is Filipino-American (and so is her husband, who’s also a lawyer).

Trivia: Deven Desai is fairly short, but has been told, “You don’t carry yourself ilke a short person.” Jenny Roberts clerked for former Judge John Martin (S.D.N.Y.). She is not familiar with Above the Law. Dan Filler has lived in many different cities over the years, including Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. He now lives in a Main Line suburb of Philadelphia.

Toby J. Heytens, of UVA; and Adam M. Gershowitz, of South Texas College of Law.

Trivia: Toby Heytens is a former O’Melveny & Myers associate. He has a weakness for Bodo’s Bagels. Adam Gershowitz is well-liked by his students, but watch out: he’s “no grade fairy.”

Trivia: Dan Solove is a founder of Concurring Opinions. He lives in a nice condo building in Washington’s West End. He churns out articles and books like Yale Law School churns out law professors. He enjoys Diet Coke with lemon.

Michael R. Dimino, of Widener; Brooks R. Holland, of Gonzaga; Wendi J. Adelson; of the University of Miami; and her husband, Dan Markel, of FSU.

Trivia: Mike Dimino is a Silbermaniac (and a member of the Federalist Society — quelle surprise). Brooks Holland is a former public defender in the Bronx, whose handshake is firm. Wendi Adelson won $2,000 on “The Weakest Link.” Her father is a dentist (which may explain her dazzling smile).

Wendi’s husband, Dan Markel, is a founder of PrawfsBlawg. At that blog, he crushed a rebellion against his authority (which led the rebels to spin off and start Concurring Opinions). He challenges Dan Solove to a mud an arm wrestling match.

Trivia: Earlier this year, we wore these shoes to meet up with Ryan W. Bounds, aka the Office of Sartorial Counsel. Within minutes after meeting us, Mr. Bounds noticed — and chided us for — their rubber soles.

This should not have surprised us. Ryan Bounds has a special super-power that allows him to detect rubber-soled shoes if they come within fifty feet of him (even if blindfolded).
