Re: 2007 Base Salaries
The Firm has enjoyed strong financial performance in recent years which is, in no small part, attributable to the hard work and dedication of our associates, and the outstanding results that our collective efforts have obtained for our clients. As you know, the market in the U.S. has recently moved in terms of associate base compensation. Consistent with our longstanding commitment to provide a highly competitive total compensation package to our associates in each of our markets and in appreciation of your significant contributions to making the Firm one of the leading firms in the world, we are pleased to announce increases in the base salaries of our U.S. associates based in offices outside of New York as set forth below. The new base salaries, together with an adjustment retroactive to January 1, will be reflected in the February 15, 2007 payroll check for all U.S. associates who remain in good standing as of that date. If you are an Of Counsel or an associate in a class senior to the Class of 1999, we will follow up with you individually in the next few weeks.
