Skaddenfreude: Morgan Lewis & Bockius, and Morning Open Thread

The latest round of associate pay raises is coming to a close. Most of the biggest shops have already announced, and the salary scales in the different cities are become fairly clear. The pace of announcements is also slowing down — a sign that we’re in the endgame.
Even though things are winding down, we are still happy to receive and publish compensation memos and emails. Please send announcements to us by email.
After the jump, we reprint some confirmed announcements from different offices of Morgan Lewis & Bockius. We thank the various tipsters who sent them in to us.

Subject: Associate Salary Increases in Princeton
As explained in a message last week, we were aware of the salary increases in a number of our markets, but we wanted to obtain more information before deciding what changes we would make. We have decided to increase the first year associate salary in our Princeton office from $135,000 to $145,000. We will also be increasing our salary scale for more senior associates. We will make all of these changes effective as of January 1, 2007 and adjust your February payments accordingly.
We will notify you individually of changes to your respective compensation levels. We have about 700 associates to notify so please be patient while we calculate the changes and prepare the notices.
Please contact me, Michele Martin or Ellen Johnston if you have any questions.
