Here’s the lunchtime open thread for discussion of associate salary developments. In the morning thread, there are rumors about various announcement that allegedly have (or have not) been made. Please send us whatever info you have, so we can verify and post.

Subject: 2007 Associate Salary Announcement
We are pleased to announce the 2007 associate salary schedule for our U.S. offices. The attached schedule is effective retroactively to January 1 and will be reflected in the February 15 payroll.
We are taking a fresh look at our bonus program for 2007. Laura Saklad and I will be soliciting input from associates and partners regarding the strengths and weaknesses of our current system as well as various alternatives. We plan to complete our analysis and announce our conclusions early in the year.
