Law Librarian Hotties: The Polls Remain Open
Just a quick reminder: our contest to find the hottest law librarians in America is still underway. You can vote on the male nominees here and the female nominees here.
Both contests are looking like two-person races. Although thirteen women and six men were nominated as hot law librarians, two women and two men have pulled away from the pack — big time.
In the women’s race, Abigail Rudman is currently in first place, with 39 percent of the vote. Joy Hanson follows with 27 percent. No other nominee polls above 10 percent.
Meanwhile, on the men’s side, Larry Reeves has a commanding lead, with 52 percent of the vote. Dwight King is running second, with 39 percent. The other four contestants all hover between one and three percent.
We’ll keep the polls open through the weekend. If you haven’t done so already, please cast your votes!

Rudman? She looks like a fat Hasidic woman. What in the world?
I'm pretty sure Rudman employed some sort of hax. How else could she jump so far behind Joy (and two others, I believe) to grab the lead? David, if possible, you should make a chart tracking the voting progress to expose this fraud. TY.

I call shenanigans on the Rudman vote. There have been very few comments of support, as compared to Joy, or even Lucero. The integrity of these polls is very important.
2:43, you make a good point: we can get a bit of verification from the comments. So I took five minutes out of my life and counted comments of support on the main thread as of right now. I just ignored insults, double-posts, and antisemitic comments, while some comments complimented several contestants. Here's what I got:

Lucero 11
Rudman 9
Lloyd 4
Cunningham 4
Wayne 2
Cotton 2
Tubbs 3
Thornton 2
Breakstone 2
Shucha 1
Paul 1
Rudman has nine flattering comments (mostly late in the thread) to Hanson's twelve. That puts them in the same ballpark---especially when you consider the huge gap between % of comments and % of votes for Lucero. Lucero definitely needs to start getting her admirers to comment less and vote more.
Liar. There are no where near 9 comments complimenting Rudman. Listen them, including time-stamp, if there are. I also didn't see any anti-semitic comments. Unless you're referring to this one?

The reason Rudman won is, guess who? None other than the person who ruins every single ATL thread. Loyola 2L.
In the other thread L2L posted a comment calling Rudman fat. At that time Rudman had virtually no votes. L2L'2 assinine comment lead to a flurry of anger, and concomitant Rudman votes. These Rudman voters weren't so much voting for Rudman as they were voting against L2L.
For example, consider this female poster's vigorous defense of Rudman, all in reaction to L2L's comment.
I am sure all these other ladies are great. I'm sure they are "hot" and "sexy" in their own unique ways, BUT Abigail Rudman is exquisite. She has a timeless beauty that women only dream of having. She is exotic and sensuous and playfully innocent. She's gorgeous, but she would be the first to deny it. And that is what makes her even hotter. and whoever called her FAT is just a jealous prick that needs to get a life!!!! Shame on you for saying such a hurtful horrible thing! These are, after all, living breathing human beings we are talking about. have some class!

--I count "she looks like a fat Hasidic woman" as somewhat anti-Jew. It'd be the same if somebody insulted Hanson while alluding to her Hawaiianness. (1) Would the poster say this to Rudman's face? (2) Why bring ethnicity into it? Can't poster insult her without insulting Hasidic Jews? (3) Why does poster think she's fat from a head shot? (4) Sometimes I hate the Internet.

I'm Jewish and I make fun of Hasidic people. But yes, if a non-Jew makes such a comment then it is anti-semitic.
