That is F'n hilarious. there are number of reasons I can think of that she would want active representation, particularly from someone in the entertainment field. Maybe misappropriation or unauthorized use of her video/image? Maybe she is going to try to get a better deal with Playboy for all of the free advertising she is throwing their way? Or maybe she is just generally gearing up for a career in the soft-core world!!!!

It has nothing to do with the distinction between state and federal court. Rather, a law student cannot serve as a "law clerk" -- that is, the official employee of a judge. This joker was an intern or maybe an extern (i.e., he received school credit for his work for the judge), but he was no clerk.

(And, there is no way you are a federal law clerk and asking this question.)

True, although even for an externship, you need good grades to "clerk" for a prestigous judge.
