ATL's New Pen Pal: Oona O'Connell, Lawyer Turned Playboy Model (Part 3)
Our email correspondence with the super-hot lawyer turned Playboy model, Oona O'Connell, continues.
A brief question-and-answer session, plus an uncropped version of this Oonalicious photo, after the jump.
In a series of emails, we posed various questions to lawyer-slash-model Oona O'Connell. We then rearranged the material into this mini-interview. The order of questions has been altered, but the language is directly quoted from the email messages.
You mentioned you graduated early [from the University of Miami School of Law]. Did you take the bar? If so, which one?
Graduated December 2006, sitting for the Florida bar in July 2007. Skipped the February bar as winter is the busy season in modeling.
Are you modeling full-time now?
I am modeling full time now, and acting too, although I hate to say it because it sounds like such a cliche!!! In fact, I have my first lines on a TV show airing tomorrow night, on the series premiere of Burn Notice.
Do you get bored during long photo shoots? You're obviously a very intelligent person. Do you get mentally restless when your picture is being taken for hours on end?
No, I never get bored during photo shoots -- it's such hard work!!! You have to be very aware of your body, the space you occupy, and the shapes and lines you can create that are interesting and pleasing to the eye. Many poses that look nice in real life look super strange on film. Often poses are extremely uncomfortable and you hold them for hours on end. Also, you usually have to keep your eyes very engaged with the lens of the camera and ultimately the viewer of the picture. Otherwise, there is a tangible disconnect, and the picture doesn't speak to people.
Plus, you meet such interesting, artistic people -- photographers, makeup artists, photo editors... It's fantastic.
Most definitely! At any rate, it sure beats document review.

Ok, she is attractive and all, but does my secretary have to know it?
NSFW warnings and pics *after* the jump please.
"interesting, artistic people"
phhftt
And what about Alison Maynard? I think her motions prove - both interesting AND, I dare say, artistic
For "interesting" alone we have the modeling world beat - hands down.
:)
It's not that bad - not like her Playboy spread. No nudity.
It could be a photograph from a Sears catalog (if Sears models were that hot).
Can you say butter face?
No, definately not.... no one at UM looked like this when I was there.
Thank goodness she didn't go to my law school. I wouldn't have done so well had she been in my section distracting me.
So Oona O'Connell walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Why the long face?"
Amen on the NSFW warning. Keep the naughty bits below the fold please.
Only in a forum dominated by bitter and depressed big-firm associates could this woman be mocked as unattractive. Damn, you people need to either get new jobs or get into new practice groups that actually give you interesting work. Voila--no more anger!
Oona can crush my ass anytime.
Agree with under the fold. Narrowly avoided having this photo on screen when the senior female associate in my practice group walked in my office. Not good.
I fifth that, sixth it, whatever re below the fold.
And people who have the slightest negative thing to say about her looks.....are INSANE. She even sounds reasonably cool. Good on her.
I've seen hotter on campus.
She is attractive, but her face has been digitally edited so much in that photo that it looks terrible. She would look 100 times better if they had just left her face alone so we could see what she normally looks like.
For all you jealous, bitter haters out there, I will repost my comment from the previous post:
"I can't believe any one of you out-of-shape, pasty, law geeks dare criticize Oona. She is smoking hot -- not just for a female lawyer, either."
"Call me 'dave'"??? Lat are you hitting on her?
Is it possible that Lat isn't really gay, he's just been around Ivy League ladies far too long?
THAT'S A MAN, BABY!!!!
A female attorney, I fully admit that I felt tinges of jealousy reading about Oona---but in no way can she be called unattractive. Just because she won the genetics lottery (and I, at least, am still scratching tickets--I'm not ugly but I'm no playboy model, and I'm okay with that) doesn't mean she deserves the harsh comments by you unhappy people. Be grateful for what you have, and congratulate women like Oona for pursuing their passions. I don't think any of us would do anything differently if we looked like her. Save the hate for legal opponents or unethical tools in a deal---not a colleague or stranger who has done nothing to you but pose for pictures. Good for you, Oona.
She's hot and smart (safe assumption since she is a UM Law grad), and at the end of the day that is what is making all of you haters hate. So, to all the law geeks (males) who hate her because she is out of your league, and all of the fat ugly (female) law school whales that hate her because she is better looking AND smarter than you . . . . GET OVER IT AND STOP HATING!!!
I totally agree with 1:14pm.
You are all a bunch of idiots; the only smart one here is Oona. She is riding (down boys) all of us like rented mules: getting free publicity for her modeling and acting career. How does it feel to be used and out-smarted by the "dumb" pretty girl? N.B.: She probably also makes more working two days a week modeling than most of us do putting in 80 hour work weeks at the office.
I am going to go have sex with my fat law school girlfriend, close my eyes and pretend she's oona!
not that pretty. not that pretty at all.
if you listen closely you can almost hear the jealousy and anger emanating from "anonymous 4:39" . . .
Oona has nothing on Christina Schultz, a former SLS classmate of mine, who paid off 300k in student loans by becoming a prostitute after graduation.
The feds filed charges against Christina for tax evasion, but after Christina married the founder of Ask Jeeves (who claimed all the money was his gift to her), the case was dropped.
Check out some of Christina's pics from her old escort website:

I think she is absolutely perfect. I'm gay and I still wouldn't kick her out of my bed...To any who think she's ugly, you obviously have been staring at briefs far too long everyday. If we had girls like that in my law school, we'd all be a lot happier!
The other pictures were much better - this one looks like a shemale
Oona is a wonderful intelligent, kind loving young lady and I have never known her to be mean or spiteful or to say judgemental things about anyone. she is naturally beautiful with or without makeup. she is an accomplished pianist, and I am sure will be an excellent honest lawyer. I am very proud of her. she is my Grandaughter!
I have to agree with Philip. She is gorgeous. but (as they often are) the pictures are too airbrushed. She has had such a natural beauty all her life... And had the cutest freckles all through middle school.
