Lat's explanation for his frequent recent absences (posted on Facebook):
1. I started working for ATL in late July 2006 (almost a year ago).
2. I get three weeks of vacation, to be used within the year.
3. I took just one day of vacation in the first nine months. Then I took off the last full week of April 2007, and one day off in May.
4. That left with me roughly two weeks of vacation, to be used in June and July. And now I'm using it!
Since I'm not on the "$160K scale," I intend to enjoy all of my vacation, down to the last day.
