In the wake of name partner David Bershad's guilty plea, the schadenfreude over the fall of Milberg Weiss continues.
Even ex-paralegals at Milberg Weiss are getting in on the fun. Check out this excerpt, from a comment posted at Roger Parloff's blog:

why we he need to reach into his safe for the money. couldn;t he just pick it off the trees growing in his office?
Am I alone in finding the people who post "First!" and "WGWAG" incredibly annoying? Lat, these posts should be removed.
I understand that Lat and other bloggers don't wish to censor or mediate the comments on their blogs. But this policy should apply only to substantive comments; people should be able to say what they want, but only when they are actually saying something. The WGWAG and First posts are so xoxo that they inevitably decrease the value of this blog. Lat should really consider threatening to remove such substanceless crap, and then actually do it if and when idiots continue to post.
if you guys spent any time on blogs you'd know that people attempting to post "first" first, as well as random trolls such as "wgwag" are just par for the course on teh interwebs.
if you can't take the heat, get the hell off the series of tubes and dump trucks that make teh interwebs work.
The safe joke is a reference to actual allegations against Milberg Weiss partners (that one of them had a hidden safe that he used to keep the kickback money).
Just ignore the "First" and "WGWAG" trolls. If you complain about or pay attention to them, you only encourage them.
I don't recall ever seeing an XO poster use the "first" shtick.
