Oh, in case you're wondering, the salary "tiering" is apparently based on quantity (of billable hours) and quality (of work).

according to NALP, it seems that Hunton has raised salaries to 160k in the DC, Mclean/Tyson's Corner VA, and NY offices.

Good idea - attorneys in charlotte, atlanta, etc. shouldnt be making the same as DC and NY attorneys

This and Hunton going will push the few remaining DC holdouts to 160. I hear Nixon will go by the end of the month.

Hey, I skipped over here from Dealbreaker...

How is it that you guys can work for eight years and see only a paltry 62.5% increase in your salary? That's insane, our salaries more than double first year out of B-School.

Who gives a flying fuck? Does it really matter who makes what where? Is it really so important to know what wittle billy and wittle sally make across the street? If you find out that it is more, are your sensitive wittle feelings gonna get hurt? You gonna go cry to mommy about how unfair and mean this cruel, cruel world is (and for a touch of class, make sure it is on your blackberry cell phone)? Go for it. I hope she looks at you with utter shame and disgust knowing she failed to raise you properly. What is wrong with all of you? Enjoy your Pottery Barn lifestyles and make sure you only date within this atrocious circle. But please, don't have kids. They are sure to be assholes just like you.
