Can't they just taser them to death...like the women in the wheel chair that they tasered which was bad because she was in a wheel chair and they tasered her then like they tasered her and she was in a wheel chair?
Sharpton really upsets me, but Reed Walters who:
- publicly threatened teenagers in their high school auditorium, AND
- charged teens as adults, AND
- charged said teens with attempted murder, AND
- did this all because of a schoolyard fight, WHILE
- ignoring the context of the fight in the first place, AND
- refused to bring charges against white students who hung various "noose wear" around school grounds, AND
- appealed one of the cases being tossed the first time, AND
- still has 5 students charged with felonies and 1 juvenile charged with ATTEMPTED MURDER...................
I'm fine with Reed Walters.
Why can't people save their outrage for really outrageous things, and not get up in arms about Al Sharpton and his sing-song voice and perfectly coiffed coife?
BTW - I have disagreed with Al Sharpton on many occassions (when I read my post I could just hear some of you typing "Tawana Brawle......"), both with others and to his face.
That doesn't change the fact that this circumstance clearly calls out for some kind of intervention. I'm glad the courts have done their part (so far) in one case, and I hope Sharpton keeps the pressure on until all the boys are out from under the thumb of this ridiculous prosecutor.
How hilarious is this? http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2007/09/the_bachelor_casting_for_new_y.html
Can ATL get its hands on a copy of the email and which firms were targeted? I'd be interested to know considering half of the reason why I went to law school was to find a hall, handsome, high income earning spouse.
Well, not really.. Well, actually...
Can anyone link to an article with a good in-depth discussion of this whole Jena 6 thing? I've been googling and all I've found so far are bits and pieces and articles about the rally.
Apparently some white students were acting like racist jackasses (they declared a tree on school grounds to be "whites only" and hung nooses from said tree at some point), then six black students sat under the tree and then beat up a white student on school grounds and were initially charged with attempted murder. One strange factoid I've found is that the beat-up student apparently attended a school function the night of the beating.

Oops, sorry for the double post. Please don't taze me.
