What is he censoring? He deleted one gross and mean-spirited comment and locked the thread on Porter. How can anyone blame him for refusing to let his blog become a forum for gratuitous attacks on a young lady?

I posted a few SA posts yesterday and today and they're all still up. I even posted the one about him stealing from the WSJ law blog and that's still there.

I have no objection to Lat moderating his venue. I do wish he'd post some guidelines about what he will, and what he won't, delete. Or even if he's just going to say 'I'm arbitrary and capricious, and I'll delete what I want, when I want to", that's fine. Let's just have notice up front.

I was thinking over my last post, and got to thinking that maybe I was being a little unfair to 6:43. I should have at least given him a few hints as to how he could discern whether or not someone was trying to play him for a fool on an internet message board.

A few signs:

-He signs his name with 116 hyphens.
-His reply to your reply contains no less than 8 rhetorical questions.
-He refers to you as "good sir."
-He refers to you as "my most esteemed adversary."
-He not only invites you to respond, but to do so "at your own peril."
-He writes a follow-up message alerting you to the fact that he probably is one of those maniacal demons out to get you on an internet message board.

And, perhaps the most important, yet painfully obvious of them all:
-His name is Loyolla2L, or anything similar to it.

Well, there I've gone and done it again. I just realized that my last post might still have been just a little too complex for 6:43 to fully understand.

Yes, 6:43, I realize that my posts only display 6 of the 7 signs that someone is out to play you. But, just because I missed the seventh doesn't mean that I'm not out to get you. Just in case you hadn't realized it by now, I am.

There, I've said it. Now you know it for sure. So, my most esteemed adversary, I eagerly await your response and trust thou shalt be swift and forthright in the drafting of the reply which we all do await. Just for future reference, we should also probably add "He try to taunt you in Shakespearean verse" to our list of warning signs. Also, "He posts more than 4 replies in a row to himself (and after midnight too)" would probably be a good addition to the list as well.
