Associate Bonus Watch: Weil Announces Special Bonuses

Weil has announced special bonuses, to be paid at the end of this month, and year-end bonuses, which “will be paid at market to associates receiving an ‘Overall Strong’ rating and will be above market for associates receiving a ‘Distinguished’ rating in class years 2003 and above.”

We are pleased to announce that the Firm will pay a special bonus to U.S. associates, in the amounts set forth below.
Class of 2006 $10,000
Class of 2005 $15,000
Class of 2004 $20,000
Class of 2003 $30,000
Class of 2002 $40,000
Class of 2001 $50,000
Class of 2000 $50,000
Special bonuses for U.S. associates in the class of 1999 and more senior will be determined on an individual basis. The special bonus will be paid on November 30, 2007, with the usual prorations. Bonuses will be pro-rated for associates who have started during the year, worked part-time schedules, or who were on an unpaid leave of absence during 2007. The special bonus will be in addition to the Firm’s normal year-end U.S. associate bonuses.
As is customary, 2007 year-end bonuses will be paid at market to associates receiving an “Overall Strong” rating and will be above market for associates receiving a “Distinguished” rating in class years 2003 and above. Year-end bonuses will be paid on January 25, 2008.
