Every Article III Groupie's Fantasy

A photo op with two of the nation's most distinguished jurists: Ninth Circuit Judges Stephen Reinhardt and Alex Kozinski!

(Judge Reinhardt seemed a bit skittish about the taking of this picture, but Judge Kozinski's enthuasism was infectious. Or maybe it was just hard for Judge Reinhardt to say no to the incoming Chief Judge of the court.)

Lat, dude, get help for your sex addiction. Your preoccupation with sexual thoughts is kind of creepy.

But why was Reinhardt on Lat's LEFT and Kozinski on his RIGHT?

Nobody is ever to the left of Stephen Reinhardt....

Why has this blog been taken over by a bunch of crap about formal gatherings of neoconservatives?

Hey, look at this: Lat gets his Articles of the Constitution correct for a change! Hooray Lat!

4:33: Congrats on spotting a typo.

I'm willing to wager that Lat -- Harvard College, Yale Law School, former Ninth Circuit clerk and AUSA -- knows more about constitutional law than you do.

4:19 -- Too funny!

Tie contest:
1st place = Lat
2nd place = Kozinski
3rd place = Reinhardt

lol. Great pic Lat. I knew you would come up with one of these eventually! All those other posts were just teasing us.

Props on the classy, simple tie. The judges' ties look straight out of 1992 (not to mention Koz's glasses); terrible!

"Why was Reinhardt at the Fed Soc gala?"

Good question.

One of these things is not like the others... One of these things is not the same....

It's not from the gala. It's from the panel "debates" during the convention, which often features lotsa smart people who actually disagree with each other.

4:38: even if i were to grant that you are right, Lat still didn't know that senators (the legislature) is article 1, and not article 2--at least as evidenced by his thread on the fed soc gathering. it's now correct, but only after i pointed it out to him. so whether, on the whole, he knows more than me about constitutional law, he still can't get something as basic as 8th grade civics class correct. maybe it was a momentarily slip of the mind. who knows, but he got something very simple very wrong.

You are a lawyer (or you are posturing as one). Typing fast is not an excuse for sounding like a third grader. Subject-predicate agreement --- it's faaaaaannn-tastic.

4:38: What does going to Harvard have anything to do with knowing the Constitution?

In any case, has anyone seen a more hideous trifecta of ties? Reinhardt's is egregiously bad, Kozinski's is just bad, and Lat's is utterly boring. Ugh.

Kozinski's property debate with Reinhardt was as good as FedSoc debates get. Speaking of property, though - why no mention of Kozinski wandering the gala and picking up some extra dollar coins from unoccupied places? Am I the only one who saw that?

From the loks of it, Judge Reinhardt has had (more than) a few cocktails recently.
