Positions: Junior Corporate Counsel and Senior Corporate Counsel

Description:
(1) A corporate counsel (3-6 years experience) that will take responsibility for all aspects of product support for the MAS and Accpac product lines.
(2) A senior corporate counsel (8+ years) with strong academics, prior in-house experience and advanced interpersonal skills. This person will provide counsel on business issues, negotiating and documenting a variety of transactions and dispute resolution as well as supporting the Company’s North American operation in mergers and acquisitions activity.

The junior candidate should have the following skill set:
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, and render advice in a fast-paced, proactive and detail-oriented environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities
* Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work flow based on the company’s commercial priorities and strategic goals
* Ability to function as a team player
* Ability to interact diplomatically and persuasively with management and business people at all levels
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
The senior candidate must be a pragmatic, business-oriented lawyer who is comfortable acting quickly and decisively with 8-10 years of major law firm and in-house experience. A corporate generalist with experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation experience. Additional skills should include:
* Experience in leading or playing a significant role in mergers and acquisitions activity.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Willingness to provide day-to-day onsite leadership to legal staff in the Irvine office.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, and render advice in a fast-paced, proactive and detail-oriented environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
* Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work flow based on the company’s commercial priorities and strategic goals.
* Ability to function as a team player, collaborating with colleagues and clients to further the company’s strategic objectives.
* Ability to interact diplomatically and persuasively with management and business people at all levels
A candidate for either position must be a Member in good standing of the state bar of California and have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
