Third
HO-LEEEE CRAP...Click on the Groom Law link, then check out Ms. Lonie Hassel's photo--don't think about it, just do it--and thank me later.
The 7th Cir. posting is hilarious
ALT already linked to the nun plea story, Billy, Non-Sequiturs: 11.14.07, “Seventy-nine-year-old nun pleads no contest to sex abuse charges” (but with proper credit), unlike your congressman link (no prior post but no credit either).
The full length photos on all these firms websites look stupid. Bad decision by any firm to do this.
Merck, another solid day, top-to-bottom, blog snafus notwithstanding. Nice work.
HOW CAN THERE NOT BE AN ENTIRE POST DEDICATED TO CHOATE'S RECRUITING WEBSITE . . . THOSE VIDEOS ARE SO F-ING CHEESY IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. WHY WOULD ANYONE WORK THERE? HAHAHAHAHAH.
You think Hassle's is good? Julia Zuckerman is doing a crossword puzzle!
PS: You totally missed the law story of the day: Barry Bonds was indicted for perjury in SF.
5:48= Merick.
Schulte just matched special bonus...will continue to pay above market for 2300 and 2500 hours.
Julia Zuckerman: I'll download her v-card...
6:10 fails.
Does no-one know how to do proper Merck-hate around here anymore?
What does TTT mean? I keep seeing it in the comments.
TTT = third tier toilet.
7:05, why hasn't this been confirmed by atl??? can you send the memo for confirmation
sort of match . . must have 2000 hours . . get much lower bonus if any if bill 1999 hours or less.
i'll believe the schulte report when i see the memo, until then its pure speculation
Memo was sent to SRZ associates with usual 2000 hour requirement for market bonus, plus special bonus if 2000 hours are met. $10K+ for 2300 hours and $10K more for 2500 hours.
7th Circuit smacked him upside the head:
"Jerold W. Barringer represented Patridge at trial, in the Tax Court, and during the three appeals to this court. He has performed below the standard of a pro se litigant; we have serious doubt about his fitness to practice law. The problem is not simply his inability to distinguish between plausible and preposterous arguments. It is his disdain for the norms of legal practice (19 issues indeed!) and the rules of procedure."
9:39, if you're memoless, how do you know this??
More full-length pictures. . . lacking in the hottie department, however. http://www.weintraub.com/attorneys.html
http://www.groom.com/_attorneys/stmartin.html
9:55 - you'll see tomorrow. Sleep tight.
That link on Choate is hilarious. Got to like a firm that doesn't take itself so seriously.
Merck is B-O-R-I-N-G. Where is LEWW???
So if this nun is 79 now, she was in her mid-30s in the 60s, yet the NYT completely ignores the all-important question: was she hot?
Well, there is "hot" and there is "nun-hot".
She was nun-hot. And VERY horny.
Those Groom bios and pictures are embarrassing. They obviously hired a PR group to write them. The pictures show the lawyers juggling, holding a magic 8 ball, a guitar, an unidentifiable toy, several uncomfortable male attorneys playing pocket pool, others holding books or magazines, and the founder of the firm, Ted Groom, is apparently showing off a pen that he had framed for some reason.
Honestly, when hiring a lawyer I could give a flying f*** if she reads "Sailing" magazine, plays guitar or knows how to juggle. In fact, I prefer the law nerds who have no time for "outside" interests.
Yeah, no Bonds link, WTF.
TIME TO START CHECKING ON YOUR FRIENDS TO SEE IF THEY PASSED OR FAILED. T-MINUS 14 MINUTES!!!!
I'm usually not a Merck-hater, but he missed the Bonds story!!! You're kidding me.
Non-Sequiturs is not a place for real news (like the Barry Bonds indictment). It's a collection of quirky or funny links.
I'm sure there will be something about the Bonds indictment later.
Groom is the best firm ever - look at all those beautiful attorneys. I wish I worked there.
Groom IS the best firm ever...how can you not like attorney's who don't take themselves too seriously?!
As for those of you making fun of individual pics of certain attorneys...you just wish you worked there.

8:21 - You're hilarious. Groom is an employee benefits firm. That pen was used by President Ford to sign the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 into law and a letter from President Ford recognizing Ted's contribution (he drafted a large portion of the Act) is also included in the frame. See the connection now?
