I'm so mad that the us courthouse at which i work blocks scrabulous (but not other parts of facebook)!
These bitches betta recanize
I get it . . . it's scrabble AND it's fabulous. Sounds like a (wait for it . . . ) trivial pursuit to me.
Hardy har har.
Prawfsblawg is ok, but the content really depends on the prawf in question. I have not read much from this Markel dude, but this phone thing is whiny.
It should not surprise anyone that the storage capacity of a modern handheld device means that you can't just keep all your e-mails forever. When you do, you are going have problems. And, gee whiz, a telephone company is hard to deal with! No way. Call Consumerist! If I see someone who is intelligent and accomplished relegated to getting into some argument with a customer service rep, and losing, and they trying to get back at that person by blogging about it, that person sudddenly seems a lot less intelligent and accomplished to me.
My worst ever clients when I did technology coaching and support were academics. So many of those guys know nothing outside of their field and just can't fathom that everything doesn't work just the way that they think it should. Made some great money off of them, though!
Anonymous of 646pm,
thanks for the input. If you would be so kind to leave your name and email address, I'd be happy to reach out and contact you next time I reach beyond my field and complain about something you know about. I'll also be happy to try to get the tone right between ranting and whining. Lord know, it's tricky!!
FWIW, I knew that my emails get deleted after 30 days; what was frustrating about my experience was that there was no warning about *everything* (including new emails) disappearing suddenly. I'm sure an intelligent and accomplished person such as yourself can empathize with that frustration, and the lack of a software patch that would signal the pending doom. Indeed, the first two T-Mobile reps I spoke with did, so I'm surprised by your ungenerous reaction.
Markel - the first part was kinda funny, but you definitely blew it in the second paragraph - you really had to get whiny again, didn't you?
Sou-my-nona,
I apologize. Had I known how much you cared, I would have run my comments by you to strike the right tone as well. Really, I'm touched.
all my best,
Dan
Ha, you just said sou-my-nona... Actually, you did run them by me, and I gave you my opinion. Surprised you didn't figure that out on your own.
