No one should go to law school unless they think they will like it. It is hard and expensive. If you do not love it enough to invest the time it takes to be in the top quarter of your class (or higher if you go to anything other than a top 25 school), you will leave with a ton of debt and no prospect of big law money.
You never would guess that from that number of bleeding hearts who give you flak for not devoting your life to public interest like they claim they do.
Lat,
If your going to point out law firms using animals in their advertising, please call McCain on the horrific talking bear ad I just saw on the ATL homepage
oh good lord. my 1L class has quite a few aspiring future politicians. these people are horrendously annoying and obnoxious. can't they have special law schools for aspiring future politicians, where they give you a fake audience to listen every time you want to open your mouth and verbally diarrhea on EVERYTHING UNDER THE FREAKIN' SUN?
I got to Law School so that LAT can continue to ignore the plight of the JD/MBA. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

In fact they have two. They are called Yale Law School (mainly senators) and Harvard Law School (everyone else).
Proskauer: If you're not here at 2 am on a Sunday, you're fired!
7:05, you don't need to worry much longer.
Once first semester grades come out, 95% of those fuckers will quiet down, going through the remainder of their careers with a confused look on their faces.
And 90% of those law school applicants are going to be pleasantly surprised come 3L when they are unemployed and wondering how they will be paying off 200k in non-dischargeable debt.
Maybe people will FINALLY learn that law school is not the new masters degree.
All hail the Green Bag!
7:07 - There has been lots of JD/MBA coverage before. Look in the archives.
Is there a JD/MBA post every day, or even every week? No. But you guys are such a small percentage of the lawyer population, so even one post in 52 weeks would be proportional.
Going to law school because "it's next": Stupid.
That "Next" Legal Education: $120K.
Borrowed Living Expenses For that Education: $40K
Waiting until after 1L year to figure out that you missed out on the "good" jobs by getting poor grades and laughing off Moot Court and Journal: Priceless.
