Featured Job Survey: Coping With A Slowdown
I had been planning to share the results from last week’s ATL / Lateral Link survey on which other firm you would want to go to today, but in light of recent events at Thelen Reid and Edwards Angell, let’s just leave that survey open for a bit longer. Let’s talk about whether the slowdown is going to hit your firm as well, and how you might cushion the impact.
Update: This survey is now closed. Click here for the results.

Justin: BAD graph! These types of results should be displayed on an axis that starts at 0%. The visual impact suggests that about 4x as many people are not afraid of layoffs than are afraid of them, based on the length of the brightly-colored bars in your results. In fact, it's almost dead even (53% v. 47%).
Please re-do this graph--it's very misleading. The only reason to present the bar graph is to give a quick visual indication of the results. Your choice of graph skews the apparent results significantly.
yay! first!
lol at the loser who posted 'first!' and lost out to a substantive comment.
indeed.
Hey 12:11, it actually looks like it's starting at a 0% axis to me. Sometimes these auto-generated graphs can be a little weird until they hit a critical number of responses (causing a number of critical comments).
If it's still looking weird to you, let me know, and I can flip it to a pie chart . . . although those have been looking a little smushy for some reason.
