You title is misleading, vile and accusatory without the benefit of a fair trial as Judge Harris has afforded many during his 22 years on the bench. It is a well known fact that “an ordinary” person “wouldn’t have even been arrested” for such an inflammatory charge from a “woman scorned.” Sounds like a “set-up” to me. The “victim” by the way has repeatedly “offered” stories to the local media - and a “glamor photo” receiving her obviously long sought “15 Mins” of fame. We support Judge Harris and rebuke the impulsive biogotry displayed by the Tulsa World, and the scandalous and reckless Asst. D.A. Why don’t you print the headline about yesterday’s action - “Asst. D.A. Accussed of Prosecutorial Misconduct” for releasing Judge Harris Social Security number, home address, etc. in the paper, and other misdeeds. It is obvious that there are shenanigans afoot…could it be the Tulsa Police, a racist Asst. D.A. Why don’t you run and tell that!!!!. Or, are you even interested in the truth? I have read your views and comments and and I was compelled to respond. I know this man and I am probably what you would call his first love. We lived together for 3+ years in Tulsa as we were both beginnining our careeres. Now keep in mind I am from a long standing Catholic family so this was not looked upon favorably. We have always remainded friends and kept in touch. He has been an Asst. DA, Judge, married had a beautiful daughter and divorced. He has been a fair and impartial Judge. Now you may want to say he got the "Big Head" but search your history. When I came to Tulsa in 1980 we were the first Black's to hold the positions we had. It was amazing to me that in the 80's this was still uncharter teritory. You may recall the group the GAP Band--- (Greenwood,Archer and Pine Street) this was the original Black Wall Street, burned to the ground because a black man whistled at a white woman.

Now back to my point, Judge Harris was one of the first to hold such position in your area. Some of you scold him because he came down hard on your relatives as they appeard in his court. What do you think the outcome would have been had the Judge had been of a different persuasion. So please do not judge him because of how he decide on a particular case. He was doing his job. As a business owner, I have had to make some pretty tough decision that were not popular. But it is what it is. We as Black Americans are scrutinized like no other. We do our best and rely upon the Lord to take care of the rest.

Now let us get to this situtuation, think about it people, the x girlfriend is a former server. She knows the law or let us say more than most, she ask him to meet her at a motel,mind you a motel at 11:00am (lunch hour) and she has a friend their. What was the friend there for but to try and establish a wittness or some collaboration of what story that would ultimately prevail. Then to use words that they held privately to describe a personal relationship. Set up, Set up, Set up. Come on folks. I have not seen this man in 25 years but we keep in contact. As an former x, I beliveve if I called him and said I needed help he would come to meet me to at least see what he could do to possibly help. He may have the big head but I am confident that he would not jepordize 20 years on the bench for something like this.

Do Not be Quick to Judge

I am not surprised, because this idiot was my family court judge from 92 to 96 or 98. He was bought off by my ex's mother, (she bragged about this, though he denied it) and my ex got away with everything while this judge was in charge. My ex never paid child support (still hasn't in 16 years, finally going after him) and used to bring copies of money orders with all the numbers blacked out so you couldn't trace them, claiming he'd mailed them to me. The judge kept giving him more and more time and never did anything. My ex took our baby after getting the judge to sign a MOTION (diff from an ORDER) giving him custody in a small paragraph. I had to file a Writ, and got my son back, but it took 6 weeks, and the judge did NOTHING to my ex for doing that!!! even though I proved to the judge that he did it on purpose and it shouldve been a felony. To top it off: I remarried the next year and this idiot judge ended up in my Lamaze class for my next baby. He was SO clueless (he was in there with his then wife Yvonne, they were expecting at the same time we were) he did not even know how to put on a diaper!!!!! I remember thinking: and this guy presides over FAMILY cases???? He's a JOKE, a low class, easily bought off judge who deserves whatever embarassment and prosecution he gets.

First you get a Motion for a hearing, a pre-trial, then the trial. he skipped all that and added that he had custody in the motion itself, which was illegal. Judge Harris finally made him give him back after 6 weeks, but he did nothing to my ex, and they were seen many times chatting alone, (against the rules!!) and his mother used to date a fellow judge friend of his, and did buy him off. no matter what my ex did, he got away with it. but ONE time, I failed to give him an "extra day" with our son to make up for a day he missed because he got arrested!...., which he never ASKED for as he was supposed to - and the judge put ME in jail for 12 hours. it was humiliating and wrong. I hope he becomes somebody's Biotch in there. He hurt my family HUGELY in the 90's. Those who claim to be friends and know him, blah blah, well you obviously didn't. He ruined lives in family court, and later in criminal court. He put away a friend of mine who'd cashed some fraudulous money orders and checks, (he was a VICTIM of a SCAM from Nigeria) without EVER listening to what had happened. My friend was tricked, and got stuck with the money owed after the checks and money orders bounced. Its called the Nigerian 411 scams. Google that. Judge harris didnt care a bit to hear about this, he just put him away and ruined his life. You reap what you sew Judge!

I'm glad to see butthead harris get a little of what he was dishing out. Many have witnessed his childlike behavior when things aren't going his way and the unevenhanded nature of his sentences. I eagerly await the day when he shows up in the papers again, only in the obits after ending his own miserable life.
