This Law Student Wants To Strip For You

Meet Laura Leigh Reifinger, pictured below, a member of the class of 2011 at Fordham Law School (and a bona fide hottie, at least in our opinion). She's currently featured in the pages of Time Out - New York, as part of this contest:

THE HORNY ISSUE
Naked Poll (Women)

TONY readers want to strip for you. Read their stories, and vote on whom you want to see in her birthday suit. One winner will appear, in all her glory, in a future issue of our magazine.

Says the (female) tipster who sent this our way: "This girl obviously hasn't heard of ATL. I'm sure she would say she's a feminist. Sigh."

Here she is -- Laura, not the tipster -- for your viewing pleasure. If you want to support her candidacy, click on the image, which will take you to the voting page:

Update (5:15 PM): As a commenter notes, contestant #3, Tonya Canada, is a "word processor at a corporate law firm." So it looks like the legal profession has at least two competitors in this race.

Update (6:39 PM): As another commenter points out, it looks like Laura Leigh Reifinger has been removed from the contest.

Update (5/16/08): For Ms. Reifinger's statement explaining why she withdrew from the contest, click here.

Might I speak for all of those with an ounce of taste. Just because you are a woman and you can get naked does NOT mean you should. Case in point, this young lady might surely be a Fordam 8, but she would be considered a California 3. Just above the other girls that look somewhat homely and thick. Keep the clothes on please. I just finished my lunch.

Additional Observation: Might she want to take off her clothes for the public because has low self-esteem and no one has previously made such a request?

Even if she decides not to pose nude, her mug shot is already on this cite, and others I'm sure, with a caption that she wants to pose nude and be a "wild child."

She already killed her chances of getting a job . . . she should just be a high-priced call girl now to pay back those student loans.

As far as looks go . . . she's cute, at best. Body shot is essential to make an informed judgment.

does anyone else think the nutcases and depressed weirdos who put their pictures in are sad? I look at them, and you know two things:

1. Every single one thinks they're being "feminist" and every guy who sees their photo is going to know their easy."
2. Every single one is THAT bipolar girlfriend who lit your cat on fire and cries at picked fruit.

Or maybe that second one is just me....

avatar
26 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, May 15, 2008 4:51 PM

I think she could get hired, actually; given the sad state of affairs where Stacey Grenock-Woods (sp?) and a Playboy bunny have successful careers, its clear BigLaw and BigMagazine aren't too big on class.

sadly enough.

I actually know this girl . . . she's who I would LEAST expect this from. She was super gung-ho at Fordham undergrad, worked in the City Council's office, worked for a PR firm, AND went to school full time graduating in like 3 years. She always talked about making parnter in 6-8 years, etc.

Poor kid...definitely not a smart move.

FYI - she's 100 times hotter in her pictures than she is in person (check facebook) - frumpy/deformed/jersey girl toxic waste face is what comes to mind

You're all a bunch of morons. We should have supported her with a massive grass roots campaign so that she'd win, and THEN we could ridicule her horrendous judgment and mock her out of the profession. It appears you've already scared her off and she's managed to perform some damage control (i.e., she ain't a contestant no more). Besides, by the looks of the competition, I vote they all keep their clothes on, for the love of GOD, keep dem skivies on!!!

avatar
54 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, May 15, 2008 7:19 PM

I'm on my firm's recruiting committee, and I often google interviewees in advance of interviews. This girl does not have the sense God gave a turnip.

How in the world can law students think that posting suggestive pictures of themselves on the internet doesn't matter in this profession? Or most any profession? It may not technically violate any rules, but it shows such magnificently poor judgment that I'd refuse even an interview.

Although, this gives me a great idea. This fall during their callback interviews, I'm going to Google SA candidates in front of them.

You guys (who disagree with me) are all on crack. 19 is hottest, and I'd be glad to be her "hot boyfriend" if (i) I were hot and (ii) my wife wouldn't kick my ass.

Kudos to 21 for a damn sexy pic too.

I wonder how many of the contestants actually submitted their own pics. Pissed of exes out there? Some of these people would have to know they'd be in for a beating by submitting themselves to this, and our #18 is far from the worst of the bunch. I'd give her a 4.

And the last one is Asian. Asian women to 190.

Lat: You shouldn't have posted this story to begin with. You're usually pretty good at keeping names anonymous when the news story could disproportionately affect someone's like compared to the value of the story. Considering the potential harm this could do to the person's career and psyche, you really dropped the ball on this one. Congrats on being the douche of the day for posting this one!

I've seen people not interviewed and not hired for stupid booze pics. They might not realize that this was the reason they didn't get a competitive position, but it was the reason they were first out of consideration.

No one wants someone with demonstrated immature and atrocious judgment, and no one wants someone who will bring back moronic behavior when the CLIENT googles who is working for him.

It was a joke...its the summer before law school, poeple aren't big on discretion.

And Fordham is not TTT...I mean obviously its no Columbia/NYU....BUT, I personally (and most law firm recruiters would agree with me) It is the same caliber as GW, BU, BC, and only slightly inferior to Cornell, GULC, Duke, and UVA in terms of landing graduates jobs in top NY firms. Look at any firm's summer associate roster and the vast majority of kids are NYU/Penn/Columbia....then Gtown/Cornell...then Fordham.

Hey guys...for the record, I do know this girl AND she did enter the competition on her own (not an ex or a bad friend etc.) She entered the contest as a joke and obviously did not think she'd make it to the top nor did she ever intend to actually pose naked.

Hey 10:04, yeah the one with the logic so nice you posted it twice, so what you are saying is that if you grouped SAs in to, say, tiers, the first tier would by NYU,Penn and Columbia, and the second tier would probably be Georgetown, Cornell and Duke and then in the, lets say, Third Tier, you would find Fordham. Gotcha.
