* Another reverend in the news: Rev. Al Sharpton and entities connected to him owe nearly $1.5 million in taxes, interest, and penalties. [TaxProf Blog]

* Obama dons an American flag pin as he campaigns in West Virginia. [McClatchy]

* Sex with your entree? Uh, then what's for dessert? (Or: Pennsylvania appellate court holds that sexual activity is not an "accessory use" to a restaurant.) [Legal Intelligencer] [FN1]

* We mentioned it briefly on Friday, but here's more on Judge Robert Bork's settlement of his slip-and-fall lawsuit against the Yale Club. [New York Personal Injury Law Blog]

* Blawg Review #159: This week is whistleblower week, at Blawg Review and on Capitol Hill: "independent whistleblower coalitions, such as the International Association of Whistleblowers (IAW), the Make it Safe Campaign, and many other independent whistleblower coalitions, will hold a series of simultaneous but separate events in Washington, D.C.. These events are designed to lobby Congress and alert the public to the need to support whistleblower protection." [Whistleblower Law Blog via Blawg Review via Blawg Review]

Uh, there are probably other more important reasons why Ted Frank is staying single. Being an idiotic conservative shill chief among them.

Where is the test case of a hetero couple in Mass suing for equal protection to the homosexual couple for different tax treatment?

Club Kama Sutra sounds a lot like a sex club in L.A. that I went to when I was a summer associate. God, I miss law school.

I like how the 2nd floor was the sex floor and the 3rd floor was for dancing. Is it eat, sex then dance? I thought it would be eat, dance, then sex, which would require going from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor and then back down to the 2nd floor. No wonder they lost the lawsuit.

Nonono. Floor layout made perfect sense - start at the top, work your way down: dance, then sex, then eat. You work up a hunger, you know?

The same anonymous commenter strikes again . . .

I am also the person who complimented you on your posts on ATL some time
ago. I did not reach out to you when you asked to know who I was because,
frankly, I want to protect my anonymity. I still do. But for your information, I
am an associate at a large firm in a large city, and I am more than several
years removed from law school. I read ATL most days, and I read your blog when
you post new items. ATL and this blog are the only two non-sports blogs I
read.

Regarding ATL, you took an unfair amount of flak from bitter associates,
but the fact is that you were much better than they cared to admit. Your byline
did not say "David Lat," however, and that was fatal for you. Even as bitter as
I am, I still saw that you were and are a good writer, and frankly, you paved
the way for a lot of folks' acceptance of Kash. Without you, there is no Kash.
You were the sacrificial lamb, unfortunately, but good to see that you survived
your first year of law school.

I can understand not thinking it necessary to wear an American Flag pin to express one's patriotism, but to take that position and then to wear one in WV on the eve of a 30 point defeat is preatty awful. Talk about pandering.

Obama is a pathetic excuse for a human being.

Obama has never categorically rejected flag pins, and this isn't the first time he's worn won. He simply said that wearing a flag pin is too often used as a cheap substitute for true patriotism, which includes asking hard questions about the nation's policy-- a perfectly reasonable statement that has been too often intentionally misrepresented by Republicans and, more outrageously, the Clinton campaign.

SEN can't come back. After leaving ATL, she was abducted by white slavers and taken to Zimbabwe to work on a new Robert Mugabe directed version of the OED. While there, she converted to Islam and is now in Iran writing press releases for the country's nuclear energy program. She hopes to go to law school one day.
