Northwestern Law wildcats Above the Law.jpg* Are you a law clerk (or judge) trying to dispose of a ridiculously long complaint? Kick it -- with a limerick. [How Appealing; WSJ Law Blog]

* It's not you, it's me: advice on how to leave your law firm, from Carolyn Elefant. [The Complete Lawyer via Legal Blog Watch]

* An unusual way to get CLE credit (if you're admitted in California). [Virtually Blind]

* An interesting (and somewhat supportive) appraisal of Northwestern Law's two-year JD program, from Bill Henderson. [Empirical Legal Studies]

* And a less enthusiastic assessment, from Brian Leiter: "I assume, though, that Northwestern has not declared as its goal 'to be...the #1 law school for elite legal employers' (as Professor Henderson puts it), since that would obviously be delusional." [Leiter's Law School Reports]

Some would describe my condition as cursed,
But my affliction -- it isn't the worst,
It's that I haven't been able to say,
Until this very day,
That of all the commenters, I am FIRST!

I wish Leiter would turn on comments...

Leiter has an email address 6:01. You could always share your wisdom with him, or do you have a great put down line you just can't wait to use anonymously. It's always fun to watch short, fat, and stupid guys pick fights they can't win.

Leiter is a hack. I'm a UChicago student, so he whores for me daily, and I still think he's a hack.

7:02 - Emailing him wouldn't help with show readers of his blog that he is a dirty, arrogant troll.

I love the detailed intellectual rigor of Leiter's post. Good lawyers, unlike business people, are smart like philosophers. That is why they need to be schooled for 3 years and business school gimmicks won't work. WTF any of that - even if accurate - has to do with length of schooling isn't addressed at all.

Fat, ugly, academically pompous, and shunned by society at large. Yep, LeiTTTer will fit right in at U. Chicago.

Can't one of those idealistic O'Bama supporters give us some inspirational words so that we can experience healing between the 2yr and 3yr JD advocates?

(Unless you're too sad to talk/write because the Messiah just changed all his positions - telecom immunity, immigration, international trade/NAFTA, Iraq withdrawal, Gen Petraeus, Jerry Wright, Heller/gun rights, federal funding for faith-based programs, the Iraq surge.)
