Monica Goodling ‘Crosses the Line’ - Into Holy Matrimony

Back in February, we broke the news of the engagement of Monica Goodling — the high-powered former Justice Department lawyer, who admitted to “cross[ing] the line” into politics with respect to DOJ hiring — to Michael Krempasky, the Edelman exec and prominent conservative blogger.

We are now pleased to announce that Goodling and Krempasky got married earlier this month. Congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple!

(And condolences to those of you who think of Goodling as a “Sexy Puritan”; she is now officially off the market.)

P.S. Speaking of lawyer nuptials, Legal Eagle Wedding Watch is on a temporary hiatus. But fear not — it will be back soon.

Damn it, I was saving my virginity just for her!

Are there any other similarly virginal sexy puritans for me to marry and engage with in mutual deflowering?

See http://abovethelaw.com/2008/08/hands_off_monica_goodling.php

For some reason, Lat loves Goodling more than any other person who has ever appeared on this blog and will seemingly forgive her for saying the word "mistake." They must have some sort of relationship (obviously not that kind) or history.

Anytime I hear Goodling's name, my first reaction is "she deserves to be in jail."

She should be disbarred.

Lat has taken a clear position in favor of high-powered women who like to take advantage of the power they've been given (to put it mildly) -- Goodling, Cutlar, etc. It's an amusing and entertaining approach to take. I think it's obvious that his love for their flaws is, in part, mockery and schaddenfreude.

Contrast it with Mystal's approach on any story involving a political figure -- standard knee-jerk "I-hate-GWB" fare. Even if you agree with him, it is not entertaining, interesting or original.

Haven't any of you seen pictures of Goodling's husband? They were just here not long ago -- http://www.abovethelaw.com/2008/02/breaking_monica_goodling_is_en_1.php

This marriage won't last. He plays for the other team. Which is fine, but he won't be able to pray the gay away forever. Of course, she'll give birth in about 9+ months in his vain attempt to prove otherwise. Those poor poor children are going to be mighty confused when daddy moves out & they're not allowed to read Heather Has Two Daddies.

She's not "high-powered" any more, she's virtually a fugitive. She should be on a "G. Gordon Liddy Vacation." There's someone with her fingers and toes crossed for a W pardon. Probably get one too, since good things always seem to happen to bad people.

Who the hell cares about Monica Goodling anymore? the only reason the GWB administration hired her is because she went to Pat Robertson's university.
