Would have loved to see Lat's speech. When is he coming to NYU?

Lat at UVa: Look beyond rankings.

And yet, that's all this blog does is focus on rankings, rankings, rankings. That is why firms and judges will refuse to part with the prestige factor of school, discounting the exceptional students at non-top 10 schools for the mediocre from the top 10.

Lat's a phenom.

Kash, thanks for waking up with us. I love my morning docket.

random question - can we do a poll of the demographic of ATL readership again?

Kash, fix the Courthouse link: it goes to some TTT NYT article.

"Lat, who attended the No. 1 ranked undergraduate school and law school..."

Wow, someone at UVA sounds bitter...they shouldn't be petty, acknowledge greatness, and just type the name of that great school that begins with an "H" and contains those 7 glorious letters: H-O-F-S-T-R-A.

How can one oppose the ACORN probe? Even the NYT seems to think those dudes were up to some no good.

avatar
21 Posted by guest | Permalink Friday, October 17, 2008 10:18 AM

Said by McCain last night:

"In case you haven't been following my opponent's 'Get Out The Vote' campaign, ACORN is helping to register groups that were previously excluded, overlooked and under-served – second-graders, the deceased, Disney characters."

Elie, how about waking up and posting on the layoffs. Even an open thread should do based on the comments from last night.

8 - ATL is the driving force behind firm and clerkship hirings? Really?! I was wondering who was guilty of tricking those silly V5s and federal judges of adhering to that crazy stuff.

And Elie, I was the one who asked you to report on the UVa talk. Thanks.
