Pictures Of Our Times

There are many strange visuals floating around during these days of financial uncertainty. Here are some interesting ones we saw over the weekend.

The first is from Sheppard Mullin's new Menlo Park office:

shepard mullins temp office.JPG

That is one way of saying "we have no clue how long we're going to be here."

Meanwhile, others exact pictorial revenge after the jump.

There is more then enough blame to go a around. Some have taken to the great American tradition of T-Shirts to express their outrage:

Jones Day Betrayal.JPG

Jones Day and Day Pitney, you've been served.

Of course, the worst picture is this one:

Sam Bowie: A high school hoops phenom, Bowie was injured throughout his time at the University of Kentucky, but the Portland Trail Blazers still selected him second overall in the 1984 NBA Draft, just ahead of some guy named Michael Jordan. Bowie's leg injuries continued throughout his NBA tenure, while Jordan became arguably the greatest athlete in team sports history.

Thanks for using tiny-ass pictures and graphs that are too small to read.

Good job Elie.

You really want to read that graph 14? Do you really not know what it is a graph of?

It's a graph of the quality of posts on ATL since Elie took the reins.

I'm still wondering what the circle shaped thing is at the end though.

Isn't a sign like that normal for any new office? Most businesses have temporary signs up before the permanent ones. This is so not news.

Elie's new strategy is to just confuse us so we don't even know what we're looking at. Really hard to criticize the content when you can't tell what the content is.

39, I have no idea, but MysTTTal seems to think we do. The second graphic was designed by an insane ex-Navy guy who thinks Sherwin-Williams (and its lawyers) stole a product design from him.

While I agree with the attacks on Elie's grammar/syntax, the attacks on his weight are over the line. If an underling writes a memo or something with bad grammar, you tear him to pieces without mentioning his weight, right? Give him the same treatment.

That being said, Elie sucks ass. I didn't make these mistakes in high school for God's sake.

47, Thank you. Good point. Those people making over the line comments about Elie's weight must be McCain supporters. They have difficulty addressing substantive issues without reverting to personal attacks.

I am completely baffled by the inclusion of Jim Sicilian from Day Pitney on this shirt. The "manifesto" linked that supposedly explains doesn't really explain the DP connection at all ... I am so confused.
