Guys at my high school would render a stressful process vastly more stressful by dangling bar results in front of neurotic law students and them inadvertently snatching them away through easily preventable and wholly predictable technical errors all the time. It was no big deal.

Just found out that i passed. For all those still waiting with pessimism: I was 100% sure that I failed. Wrote only 2 sentences on the MPT that were garbage and guessed on every MBE question. Looks like the pass rate was high. Good luck.

I think we should complain to the Court of Appeals. They are the ones that appoint the five losers who can't run a decent website.

NY BOLE has successfully proven that it can actually make the internet a slower medium of information than direct in-person contact.

Consider this: Less than 15,000 people took the July 2008 exam - lets round up and just say 15,000. If NY BOLE just had 10 employees with a list of names and pass/fail, and everyone just lined up to get their score one at a time in one of 10 lines (so 1500 ppl at each line), assuming it takes 7 seconds to look up someone's name and say pass/fail and move on to the next person, it would take 3 hours until the last person got his score.

It's already been 3 hours and most ppl have not gotten their score.

Job well done.

Finally got through (pass -- woohoo)

Here's what I did:

1) Multiple windows open to get to the login page. Just sat and let them load. One finally got through (and not the one that had been open the longest)

2) Once I entered the BOLE ID and birthday, *then* I hit refresh every couple of minutes. One of them happened to go through quickly and gave me the result. (When you hit refresh, you have to say you want to re-send the data.)

Here's how to get your results:

WAIT FOR THE PAGES TO LOAD. Refresh them ONLY if they actually time out/you get an error. I got my results hours and hours ago like that. It won't work right away but it will after a few attempts.

Do NOT just sit there rapid-clicking Refresh. That doesn't work.

Just a spectator here (I took the exam last year). I personally think this is excellent and find all of these worrisome comments highly, highly entertaining.

For those of you who passed, now is the time to decide which bar exam you want to take in February (in case you don't want to live in NY the rest of your life - and don't rely on complex and highly-chageable waive-in rules). I would suggest sitting for the exam in HI, CA or USVI in February. Just my 2 cents.

Chances are you are a law grad. Even if you're out of state, that 1% doesn't make much of a difference. Passing this exam isn't much of an accomplishment.
