Law Firm Technology Awards
Which firms are on the cutting edge of the digital age? Law and Technology News has an opinion. The publication just released their sixth annual law technology awards:
The awards recognize outstanding innovation by law firms and law departments in their use of technology.
The big winner is Fish & Richardson for most innovative use of technology.
And Joy Heath Rush of Sidley Austin won the award for “Champion” of Technology. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds pretty cool.
Read about all of the award winners here.

The only winner is the lobster dinner.
Ducktales a woo woo!
No info on Cahill layoffs. Didn't read.
I get my steaks well done at firm dinners and put ketchup on them !
What a surprise, a patent firm full of tech backgrounded people? I'm shocked that they'd be into technology. Shocked, I tell you!
What about the plane crash?
How is the plane crash related to a legal gossip blog? Or are you suggesting the pilot should sue the flock of geese, thereby making it tangentially related to this blog? (Note: Yes, I realize the passengers will sue the airline, etc.)
6. What about it? Flock of geese. Looks like the pilot did an excellent job putting the plane down in a controlled fashion in the Hudson. I hope everybody is okay.
Um, what cool toys do they use?
Geese? Kind of reminds me of DUCKTALES A WOO OO
It might be cool, I don't know. And if it's not, I don't care.
I'll bet the survivors had some close encounters with LOBSTERS.
HLS doomed! Howell Jackson to be acting dean
No lobster could survive in the Hudson for any measurable time.
Geese? Kind of reminds me of DUCKTALES A WOO OO
But what does this mean for FISH & RICHARDSON?
14,
No lobster could survive in the Hudson for any measurable time and be edible let alone in Kash's ass.
That's just the engine powering up.
That's just the engine struggling.
...
That's just a carp swimming around your ankles.
We definitely need a post about Duck Tales.

A carp swimming around your ankles?
Let me take a wild guess -- you're not from New York, are you?
Guys in my high school used to crash planes into the Hudson all the time, it was no big deal.

20 - no, but I have the ability to think of a Simpsons quote applicable to the given situation. But seriously, I do hope everyone is ok.
did somebody say LOBSTER?!
20/22 - watch more Simpsons.
did somebody say CAHILL?!
Rather than recognizing firms that use technology well, someone should lambast firms like Weil that still use Lotus Notes.
What a load of doo doo. The "New Product of the Year" was Acrobat 9 Pro Extended- Adobe Systems Incorporated? poot.
26, What's this I hear about Cahill?
I bet that water is fucking cold.
LTN is racist
Hoe about firms that still use WordPerfect. I thought Microsoft Word killed WordPerfect but I was wrong...
32 - What about firms that use Microsoft Works?
Wish that this "cutting-edge technology" would somehow descend upon our ancient phone system here at F&R...
Connie Hoffman is a great choice for this award. She formerly managed Client Technology for Brian Cave and now is in charge of all IT. She has been focused on giving attorneys, staff and clients technology that actually serves their needs.
34--where were you when they installed the new Cisco IP phones?
35 is Connie. 34 you get two cans and string.
Sidley is "champion" of techdontknowlogy. My dog provides better technology options, and he was born later than anything Sidley has to offer.
Can't comment on Joy, but Sidley is hardly a champion. We're still using the old version of Office and have ancient blackberries (an no option to choose a better platform).
39, you are clearly working off of very old technology seeing as you can only access week-old posts.
