Kid Rock.jpg* If you look closely, you’ll notice that now you can share your favorite ATL posts on Facebook, or Digg It.

* Boston College Law School graduate, Caplan & Ross attorney, and “blook” writer Nicole Mondschein has lots of interesting imaginary friends. [The Star Islanders]

* Great orginal research exposes Elena Kagan: the law student. It turns out I got better grades than she did first semester 1L year. After that … not so much. [The BLT: Blog of the Legal TImes]

* As future poet laureate Beyonce might say “I’m a survivor, I’m not gonna give up, I’m not gonna stop, I’m gonna work harder. I’m a survivor, I’m gonna make it, I will survive, Keep on survivin’” [Law and More]

* Soldiers and Veterans: know the law, know your rights. The Reserve Officers Association of the United States has completely revamped it’s law library and the information there sounds fantastic. [ROA]

* Kid Rock wants his judge to either A) send him to jail or B) go to Iraq to prove a point to the Kid. Hmmm … which one do you think is more likely to happen? [Popsquire]

On Kagan's grades: you received better grades "than she did," not "then she did."

I am constantly amazed by your sloppiness.

Do you know the difference between "than" and "then"?

Learn the apostrophe rules. It's just not that hard. Every time you use "it's" as a possessive, Jesus cries a little.

I can honestly only conclude that Elie continues making the third-grade level mistakes as an extended form of trolling-- he plants two or three per post, and sees how long it takes the readers to point them all out in comments. Nobody could actually be as incompetent as his posts would indicate.

6,

So how would you refer to the IT Department's computers without using the word "Department"? Would Jesus cry a little when I discussed replacing some of IT's computers?

Double dumbass on you.

I generally don't even click through the non-sequiturs pages but came here just to comment on "then". It's three times I've seen it used incorrectly in two days. It's not a typo anymore, it's way beyond that.

-Can't take it.

Elie,

Who the fuck would want to post your dreary poorly written rabble to the outside world, let alone be associated with it in any shape or form? Its bad enough we subject ourselves to this shit, but why harm the innocents? Lat built this audience, and now you are quickly dismantling it. Thanks.

Me thinks your head is now so fat it not only has its own zipcode, but its own gravitational pull.

Incorrect use of a colon in the Kagan post. It should read "Elena Kagan, the law student."

avatar
21 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, January 8, 2009 5:32 PM

This is not the first time that Elie has confused "than" and "then." I am left to conclude that Elie does not understand the differences between the words and how they should be used -- yet he reputedly still managed better first semester law school grades than the incoming solicitor general. How could this possibly be?

22 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, January 8, 2009 5:36 PM

Maybe your transcript shows better first semester letter grades than Kagan's, but she got those grades at the super-prestigious, ultra-competitive Harvard Law...oh, I see what you wanted us to take away from your comment. Kagan's spelling ability was so phenomenal as to be commended to the Supreme Court, which perhaps tips the scales in her favor.

Just to pile on, like Elie does with his weight, why is it only Soldiers and Veterans? What about Marines? Sailors? Airmen? Elie's understanding of the military is about right for a Harvard graduate.

"It turns out I got better grades than she did first semester 1L year"

Grade inflation. Once upon a time, a C was actually average.
