Perkins Coie's Vegas Vacation

Yesterday, I mentioned that Fortune released a list of the Top 100 places to work. In that post I failed to note that Perkins Coie was ranked 82nd on that list.

According to Fortune:

A support staffer gave this impressive list of her benefits: $2,000 in technology flex plan allowance, $80 for wellness program participation, $475 for 20th anniversary with firm, $1,500 performance bonus, $50 Nordstrom gift card, $3,500 year-end bonus.

Well, tipsters report that Perkins Coie management is pumped about the news. Check out the firm-wide email and fun tipster responses after the jump.

Perkins Coie wanted to make sure that all of their associates knew the good news.

Lucky #7 – One of the Best Again!

It is with tremendous pride that I announce for the seventh consecutive year Perkins Coie has been selected by FORTUNE Magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in America. In 2009 we rank 82.

To pick the “100 Best Companies to Work For”, FORTUNE works with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two-thirds of the firm’s score is based on the survey, which is sent to a minimum of 400 randomly selected personnel of the firm. The remaining third is based on the Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about demographics, pay and benefits, and open-ended questions on philosophy, communication and more. The 2009 list of companies can be found in the current issue of FORTUNE Magazine or at Fortune.com/bestcompanies.

To thank all our personnel, each office will be holding a celebration next Friday afternoon, January 30. All regular associates and staff from all offices will be automatically entered into drawing for a trip for two to Las Vegas. The drawing will take place in Seattle at 4:15 PST.

I want to thank each of you for once again making Perkins Coie one of the Best Companies to Work for in America!
