The South Park themed NYU video was genuinely clever and funny (the other wasn't so good). I don't really know anything about Arthur Miller, and I still thought the video was hilarious.

I went to the NYU Law Review (as evidence, the microphones didn't work well and had screechign feedback during the sketch with the professors)
My thoughts on the NYU one.
1. The tall blond is smoking hot.
2. The girl who the gunners were trying to convert was not leading material. I mean, if you're wider than you are tall . . .
3. The writing was good. The actual play was much better than the south park, lost and other garbage posted on youtube.
4. The best skit was the "we were only 1Ls" one. It has amazing singing and dancing.

ALL law school spoof performances are lame. If they were funny, stand-up comedians would make a lot more Scalia jokes. But they don't because arcane constitutional references suck. Dancing girls are nice though.
No, UVA Law doesn't celebrate MLK day by canceling classes. To be fair, the University as a whole does not celebrate the day by canceling classes.
There are, however, UVA-sanctioned speakers, student gatherings, and events on MLK day in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. (these tend to take place at the main campus/grounds rather than at north grounds where the law school is located.)
UVA (law school and university) also does not cancel classes for: Memorial day, Labor day, Columbus day, President's day, Veteran's day, or any religious holiday. (Ok, ok, winter break coincides with Christmas--I don't think that's too unusual for a public or private school in America, though.)
My guess is that the law school and university (and likely the business school, I imagine they don't cancel classes for those days) decline to cancel classes for administrative purposes rather than some insidious reason like racism, not supporting vets, the desire for us all to be atheist, etc.
This wasn't that funny and kinda painful to watch, but that's the price to pay for providing incentives for law students to try to be creative and rewrite the lyrics to popular songs with lame legal jokes and references

UVA grad here. The content was funny, but it had lower production value than the NYU clip. However, they're law students, so it's to be expected. It wasn't terribly catchy, but the content was better thought out and humorous. The NYU Miller video was far catchier, and had great production value (considering), but the underlying stuff wasn't funny at all.
The best law revue skits are the ones that feature all of the inside jokes (like the professor who goes to the undergrad gym to stare at the sophomores in aerobics classes). Those that are about the law in generally typically aren't as biting or funny.

I thought that this was pretty funny. The jokes are pretty clever and it's clear that the people who made the video had a lot of fun doing it. As for the production, I'm sure better films have been made, but given that these are law students who have entirely separate skill sets from the ones demonstrated here, this is really impressive. I am surprised by the anger that is coming out in the comments to this post. The humor in the video was not anyone's expense -- it didn't make fun of anyone or any other school. Sure, the UVA student who sent this to ATL made a remark about NYU, but what does that have to do with the people in this video? I'm a female and I have to agree with most of the comments here that the girls on this video aren't 9s or 10s. The girl in the front on the right has a good figure, but her face could be prettier. That said, I could probably lose 10 lbs compared to her awesome abs.
That said, there is nothing wrong with having a little fun and putting together something like this for other people to enjoy. I also don't think what they are wearing are that skimpy. What is this tendency for lawyers to require their female colleagues to be covered in a tent? I don't think this sort of criticism is leveled at girls based on attractiveness either. The ones who are attractive and dare to show it a little are judged for it too, around the campus, and perhaps even more pejoratively.
This video is great because it brings out the self-deprecating humor that a lot of lawyers have about themselves. Yeah, it is a little lame. Yeah, it wasn't SNL quality. But it is in good humor. To me that self-aware, silly tendency is one of the best things about law school and the people in it. Unfortunately, the tendency for being over judgmental of others and viciousness is one of the things I hate about it.
