* There’s a new book out on Biglaw. It’s written by the great people over at Building a Better Legal Profession, so you know it’s not some re-hashed law firm recruiting spin job. [Law Pundit]
* There are students at GW Law that have gone over 100 days without receiving their grades. It’s really hard to imagine how that can happen, though I imagine Georgetown students will have some helpful advice for their GW cousins. [Blackbook Legal Blog]
* Here’s an interview with a recruiter about what young lawyers should do in today’s market. If you read between the lines, you can see very clearly that her advice is “Flee. Abandon your posts. FLEE.” [Young Lawyers Blog]
* AIG is bailing on a bunch of its other financial obligations too. Essentially, AIG is now officially Pookey from New Jack City, without any of the charm. [TPM]
* Project Runway is moving to the Lifetime channel. I suppose this means the show will now include scenes where the models are abused by overweight husbands with glaring speech impediments. Once Harvey Keitel arrests their husbands, the models will hobble onto the runway, win the “pantsuit and sweater” competition, and make enough money to hire a hitman to kill their evil brother-in-law. Sign me up. [Popsquire]
* Come on, the news isn’t all sad on Above the Law nowadays. Just today we ran a lovely story about joys of living in a world without borders. [Ridiculum]
* Here’s the disturbing overview of all the March carnage. [Law Shucks]

First to say I want to be done like Lawrence v Texas.
GW v. GULC spitting match in 3...2...1...
THIRD.
Ridiculum forgot to mention the shitty, poorly edited writing. That adds a nice undertone of annoyance to the general depressing content.
People at Georgetown think they are smarter than they are, and people at GW are smarter than they think
5, I've never met a law student who's smarter than s/he thinks.
NOW and NOT are different words with different meanings.
Just FYI, in case that's relevant sometime. Silly editor.
WTF was the point of that Project Runway link? And the related description is agonizing. Were you trying to say that it will "now" contain domestic violence scenes, rather than "not"? Does it even matter? When a snarky caption is so incoherent that typos are irrelevant it's time to hang it up.
6- and you will never meet a lawyer who's wrong unless they think they are
Elie - Project Runway is not a show about models (that's America's Next Top Model).
WTF on Project Runway? How is this in the least bit funny, to talk about -- what? abused spouses? anorexic models? speech impediements? Harvey freaking Keitel?? For Christ's sake Elie you have really torn the parachute this time.
Jesus.
Everytime I hear about this Building a Better Legal Profession I chuckle when I remember that they are all law students.
Elie,
You really start to be way too much gloom and doom. Keep cool.
Elie - Lifetime comment wins. Just a shade under a decade. I'm proud of you.
i feel so suicidal. has any firm besides a certain v10 laid off more than half its first years?
-suicidal laid off v10 first year
New Jack City reference = I really am black, yo.
Shocker, more sexist and degrading commentary from Elie Mystal. I'm so sick of having to scroll through this shit to get to the increasingly tiny nuggets of relevant information. Elie, grow some balls, ask your wife to spoon you, and end the pejorative comments about women. You're really starting to look pathetic.
I don't know about a world without borders, but I'd like to live in a world without pants.
18, we can clearly see your nuts.
