* Shareholder suits + TARP = taxpayer bailout for the plaintiff’s bar. Sweet. And if you live in a brick house the pitchforks and torches will have no effect. [Dealbook]
* Did Larry Lessig send YouTube a takedown notice just so YouTube would retain him to defend against the notice? [Boing Boing]
* Advice from a former lawyer and “rookie” mom. [Ivy League Insecurities]
* A blow-by-blow recap of Harold Koh’s confirmation hearing. [Suits & Sentences]
* Here’s some advice on how to write a “killer cover letter.” It is more collegial than mercilessly sabotaging the competition, but I’m not sure if it’s more effective. [Let’s Talk Turkey]
* Here’s the thing, if you are going to try and kill the billable hour, you must succeed. You can’t let it linger and heal itself. Because if you try to kill it but only succeed in hurting it, it is going to come back furious and stronger than ever. [Litination]

Go Larry! Stick it to Warner Music. Somebody needs to teach them what Fair Use means. BTW Elie, I'm guessing the description of the Lessig story was an attempt at humor, but it really distorts what the story is about. The story makes clear that Warner Music sent the takedown letter to YouTube regarding one of Lessig's presentations. I in no way gathered that from your blurb. I appreciate you trying to be funny, but shouldn't you at least remotely indicate what the story was about?
Re: ivy league insecurities:
1. She claims Dalton as one of 3 ivy league degrees.
2. She's an heiress (r.r. donnelly publishing)
So, totally beneath contempt.

Good for Ivy League Insecurities for giving up Big Law to be a mommy and a writer. At least I can admit that I'm 100% jealous....
Hats off #1
Isn't the Lessig story hilarious enough not to need a distorted subject heading?
Talk about giving the worst person in the world standing. I'm assuming you can go ahead and add +1 to the layoff watch today, Warner Bros. corporate counsel.
