Non-Sequiturs: 06.25.09

twitter logo.jpg* Please God, whatever happens, don’t ever let me get fired via Twitter. [Legal Blog Watch]

* Be forewarned, if we simplify the law, it will be easier for “lay” people to understand the law, and pretty soon people won’t need as many lawyers. Do not repeat the mistakes of King James! What is good for society might not be good for our precious faith. [The Atlantic]

* Have you ever been captured by a Romanian terrorist while riding a Ferris wheel? No? Then you should read this account. [Miss Trials]

* Valet parking for students and faculty. [Legal Writing Prof Blog]

* Lastly I also suspect I feel a little vulnerable because this is ground I have never certainly never covered before — so if you have pearls of wisdom on how we figure all this out please let me know … In the meantime please sleep soundly knowing that despite the best efforts of my head my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul. I love you … sleep tight. M [The State]

* Michael Jackson … I can’t even say it. [True/Slant]

I feel like it was only a few months ago that USC students were defending their school and claiming it wasn't an overrated haven for rich, spoiled pricks. Looks like that went well.

Sorry Elie, but you can't even do the non-sequiturs well. Time to hand over the reins to Kash and/or one of you interns. I really find it hard to believe that someone with such poor writing skills got into Harvard Law.

The problem with social outlets such as facebook and twitter is that people now feel the need to advertise what they are doing at all times, which gives them a false sense of self-importance. The last thing I need to know about anyone is that they are in the process of a monumental defecation at the local taqueria. Unfortunately, these types of blogs and outlets spawn folks like Hope Fall, who authored those awful stories about a filthy spa. I am sure Ms. Fall feels she is performing a service to us by regaling us with her trivial tales. It is sad to know how deluded Ms. Fall is with herself and her inconsequential stories.

You know what's sad? Even though Mystttal's last link quoted Sanford in an effort to humiliate him and mock his writing (and because Mystttal delights in Republican condemnation), it would totally pass as a Mysttal ATL post. The "M" at the end of the quote sealed the deal.

I remember the time I learned my ABC's from MJ. But now it looks like he's beat it. He stopped before I could get enough. It's bad.

Roma is a term for the the Romani people (aka "gypies") who are, generally, nomadic "squatter" communities that have dispersed throughout Europe over time and, for the most part, have failed to integrate into European society because of bigotry and discrimination.

Romanian, on the other hand, is what one calls a person from ROMANIA.

Responsible journalism anyone?

25--

MysTTTal's LSAT was irrelevant when he applied to HLS and it is irrelevant today, because of AA.

The fired attorney (Randy Kessler) is probably the best divorce lawyer in Atlanta. I suspect this was a "difficult" client that he's not going to miss very much. He's not exactly hurting for business.
