Skadden NY to 190 Hand Sanitizer?

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher Flom new.jpgThe dreaded swine flu, aka the H1N1 virus, made it to Mayer Brown last week. Will it now work its way up the Am Law 100?

This afternoon, via Fashionista (last paragraph), we learned that swine flu has hit the hallowed halls of Vogue. And we all know who shares a fancy building with Vogue and Conde Nast: Skadden Arps.

In the past, Skadden employees have expressed disappointment over not sharing elevators with Vogue’s glamorous hotties. Perhaps now the Skaddenites are thanking their lucky stars — or wishing they had taken Sidebar.

The unwritten rule at the firm is that any associate who has flatulence will be terminated. We have now added sneezing and violent coughing to the list of causes for termination. My advice to associates: don't eat spices, mexican food or engage in intimate relations with porcine animals or people.

Is it any wonder that spellcheck suggests "Sadden" whenever Skadden appears...?

I can tell that the deal breaker chick learned her slap technique from Mr, Myagi.

Lat, please don't perpetuate the myth that hand sanitizer, which kills some bacteria, will do squat for H1N1, a virus.

Top 3 law student here. Please moderate 8's comments. Hand sanitizer helps prevent certain bacteria from wreaking havoc on your immune system, which leaves you with better overall resistance to viruses such as H1N1. Please ban ignorant posters such as 8 who have no science education.

According to the CDC, hand sanitizer helps:

"What can employers do to protect employees?"

"Provide sufficient facilities for hand washing and alcohol-based (at least 60%) hand sanitizers (or wipes) in common workplace areas such as lobbies, corridors, and restrooms."

10 - constant sanitizer use both weakens the immune system, and strengthens bacteria.

Please ban ignorant posters such 10.

14 - not quite. there's a difference between alcohol-based hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial agents like triclosan.
