(Future) Law Student of the Day: Hip hop groom Kevin Heinz

Last month, Kevin Heinz and Jill Peterson got married in Minnesota. They posted their wedding march video to YouTube earlier this month and it’s gone viral. We’ve been looking for an excuse to post the hip hop wedding sensation, and a kind tipster furnished us with the excuse, telling us the somersaulting groom is heading to law school next month.
The couple swapped “Canon in D major” for Chris Brown’s “Forever:”

Their only misstep: Choosing a song by someone convicted of domestic abuse. Find out to which law school Heinz is heading this fall, after the jump.

Heinz will be shimmying down the halls of Hamline University Law School, says the Pioneer Press:

Peterson, who is getting her graduate degree in psychopathology from University of California Irvine and Heinz, who will start law school next month at Hamline University, had the song picked out last year, way before the guest list was even put together. They liked the beat and the words worked, too.
Peterson gave the wedding party — seven bridesmaids, five groomsmen and four ushers — some direction and they had one rehearsal. But for the most part, they were given a free pass as to how they would each shimmy down the altar…
Peterson said she’s even started to get requests to choreograph weddings.
“At this point, no,” said Peterson about entering the wedding dance business. “But it would be a fun side job while I’m doing my dissertation.”

Our tipster says:

Groom from wedding dance Youtube starting law school next fall… at Hamline. Too late to talk him out of it and tell him to ride his Internet fame for a few more years?

We won’t try to talk him out of it, but maybe the couple should seriously consider that wedding dance business.
