Who is making love to PE's old lady, while he is out doing document review?

HEY ATL "EDITORS" -- WHY DID YOU TAKE DOWN THE COMMENTS ON YOUR AXA SPONSORED EVENT. IS IT BECAUSE PEOPLE RAISED SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF AXA ADVISORS AND THEIR DUBIOUS MARKETING TACTICS AT BIG LAW FIRMS. You all purport to be the subversive rumormill of big law and yet you censor negative comments about your sponsors. I wonder what stories you've declined to publish about big firm sponsors of yours...See Monday, July 6 Post on "ATL Party Pics" with a very suspicious 0 comments after having been open to comment

Has anyone reported on the fact that Skadden DC is rapidly spinning out of control?

An implosion is surely coming. Partners and associates are leaving in droves due to the massive problems in DC.

Describing lawyers as "dealmakers" is, in 99.9% of cases, so incredibly laughable.

So Gonzo is going to teach the parameters of Constitutional law when undergoing Congressional inquiry? Because his constant repetition of "I don't know," and "I don't recall," was a masterpiece of constitutional obfuscation.

Being forced to live in Lubbock, Texas is a fitting punishment for any public official who condones the use of torture... it's basically an eye for an eye.

Kash,

I understand the need to throw one-liners in these posts, but the DC Metro joke's a little too soon kiddo. Poor taste.

Suing Metro is the second biggest hobby of people who live in DC. Forming neighborhood groups to complain about things, of course, is still #1.

What is going on at Cooley? This seems to decimate their corporate practice? Any information about a full-out meltdown of that firm?

Way to stay 1-2 days behind the mainstream news cycle. This blog used to point to stories in less-read sources and break stories from independent investigation. Now it's substantially stale links to media like the NYT and WSJ, which everyone reads already. And the commentary here is now around the level of teenage wisecracks. Do your job please and tell us something we don't already know. This used to be a decent blog.

Cooley has had meetings to reassure employees about the defections to Dewey. The partners said it was "sad" that the three left, but that the business that the three brought in was insignificant to the firm's finances. Of course, these are the same partners who recently held meetings to reassure associates that the firm was doing fine...just before they dropped the axe in their second round of layoffs.
