An ATL reader sent along a link to an attorney profile at the Texas State Bar website, with the following request:

The photo on the State Bar of Texas website that prompted the reader’s plea to us, plus the backstory behind the picture — after the jump.
Here is the attorney profile in question:
The Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy & Private Practice star) lookalike is a University of Idaho Law 1990 grad and a solo practitioner in Texas. What’s the story behind the photo?
We called Jane Allen Clark to ask about the photo, and how she chose it. “I just liked it,” she told us. “We all want to look like L.A. Law, I guess.”
After getting our call, she speculated that “maybe [she] shouldn’t have used that particular photo.”
Jane Clark’s area of specialty is not as racy as her state bar association photo. She mainly deals with worker’s compensation issues.

Suggestion: Create two ATL sites. One for the big boys and another - Junior ATL - for small firms in small cities. Hate to sound like a snob, but I don't come to this site for stories about some solo practitioner I've never heard of. The new site could be called Below the Law or Below Above the Law.
So one of the languages she speaks is Arabic. Hmmm, I wonder if photos like that are popular with Arab clients?
