When do NY bar results come out?

avatar
6 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, October 8, 2009 8:18 AM

5 --> While the Board does not set a specific date for the release of bar exam results, historically results from the July examination are released in mid-November, and the results of the February examination are released in mid-May.

Really, you worked under Chris Christie? How were you not crushed to death?

avatar
8 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, October 8, 2009 8:30 AM

How are the Christie ads making fun of his weight? Because 5 seconds after the "throwing his weight around" comment there's video of Christie getting out of an SUV?

Jesus, that's coming from an obsessive perspective.

By that rationale, are they also implying that he hates earth because he was in an SUV?

I give a shit about who wins that race, but get a grip. Just because some local reporter at one of the country's 3 solvent print newspapers wrote something, doesn't mean it's true.

The commercial may or may not be making fun of his weight. This comment is definately making fun of elie's weight.

I am not a lawyer, but I googled this site and thought some smarty pants lawyer could explain something. Why in the heck is David Letterman in so much trouble with the law? While I don't approve of what he did, I didn't think that having an affair (even with a coworker) was against the law! Is this some sort of conspiracy by the "moral right". Please explain this one. I am not really a fan of his humor (more of a "Leno Guy") but still.

When I watched the movie sicko I thought to myself, how much of our health care crisis is due to preventable diseases caused by obesity and the associated complications. Then i looked at how fat Michael Moore was. Michael Moore is the fat face of the health care crisis.

The ad is a personal jab at his size. In a 30 second ad when every word is scrutinized the throwing his weight around comment was definitely an intentional insult. They could have said so many other things. What can you say though, dude is fat. I see a rebuttal ad highlighting the fact that Corzine is a bald mother lover.

Christie wil beat Obama's pansy, Jon "Do as I say not as I do" Corzine. Corzine has been a cancer to NJ. Christie may be fat but Corzine has a fatter liberal head.

Can anyone explain to me why the Obama administration is SO hard up to restore such a vocal pro-Chavez guy to power in Latin America? Not only that, the guy was legally deposed and then escorted out of the country to prevent the violence that inevitably occurred when he snuck back in to the country and whipped he supporters (read: mob) into a violent frenzy. I mean, the guy is accusing Israeli agents of blasting the building he's in w/ some kind of harmful sonic waves. The guy is a NUT! So do we embrace this action in favor of democracy in the region? Of course not. We impose sanctions. We revoke the visas of their supreme court. We threaten and cajole and lend credibility to guys like Chavez. And why? No idea. Obama has said NOTHING about what in the hell he's thinking here. He's even gone so far as to threaten to not support future elections in the country... elections that would have been held REGARDLESS, because Zelaya's term would have been up. Please, somebody explain this to me? What is our president doing?

avatar
31 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, October 8, 2009 11:06 AM

30,
Obama is a Marxist. He would vote for Zelaya instead of Micheletti if he could. Zelaya's political outlook is not much different than what prevails in local Chicago politics. Scary but obvious.

34 Posted by guest | Permalink Thursday, October 8, 2009 12:34 PM

30, 31--

Obama will do whatever he pleases because he's been told by enough people that his shit (1) does not stink and (2) is an inspirational story of how a Negro in a racist Anglo nation can still successfully digest food.

The best we can do at this point is hope that the old power-whores in Washington realize that most of their consumers (i.e., the voters) want a different product altogether--conservative fiscal policy coupled with liberal social policy. How both parties have managed to fuck that up so royally the past 8 years (hell, Clinton was more fiscally conservative than Bush--by a long shot) is beyond me. Anyhow, we can just hope that the midterms in 2010 actually reflect what people want, but, as usual, we'll probably have to decide between a douche and a shit sandwich. Beyond that, keep your head down and hope people don't start picking colors (Obscure reference to pre-communist Russia? Count it).

35 - On the other hand, I don't think Lat would've been outed, or at least outed as quickly, as UTR's A3G had he not posted that he saw then-nominee Alito paling around Newark. The NJ federal bar is pretty small.

30, 31: Please stop talking. Zelaya is the legitimate leader of Honduras, and Obama should do everything in his power to ensure that. The financial crisis is the death throes of capitalism, and spending money on installing Zelaya would have the double benefit of hastening its demise in both economic and political terms.

But remember, legitimacy is defined by who is in power, so it is important that Honduras is destabilised as much as possible to ensure the reactionaries do not entrench themselves.
