May O'Quinn be forever tormented in the hell to which he has been condemned. What a disgrace to our profession.
"Washington bans Kenya’s attorney general from traveling to the U.S. "
Did anyone else wonder what this meant if Washington next ban's Kenya's president from travelling to the US? Would Obama be stuck forever abroad?
@8 - You shall have two of my best camels. Make it so.
*clap clap
ATL find out when NJ bar results come out.
All those cars and O'Quinn died not wearing a seat belt. What an idiot.
How the f--- did this guy have $100 million worth of cars...wtf.
"John O’Quinn, the legendary personal injury attorney... had over 800 cars worth more than $100 million."
Yeah, there is something wrong about that...
9 is over the top with anger and hatred, take a chill pill dude.
15 has a valid point, but at least according to the story O'Quinn left his personal property to his charitable foundation. That's more than can be said for most members of the legal profession and the angry posters on ATL.
And no, I'm not a plaintiff's lawyer, and I didn't know O'Quinn.
Nevermind, check Wikipedia:
"In total, O'Quinn is estimated to have won $1.5 billion for his firm, O'Quinn & Laminack. [5] According to a 2006 article in Forbes, O'Quinn's firm had pending cases against stock brokers and hedge funds for shorting the shares of weak companies, and against Ford for rollover accidents caused by the Ford Explorer.[4] In the past decade, O'Quinn won, through settlement and/or verdicts, more than $20 billion for his clients.[6]"
"O'Quinn maintained an extensive collection of cars. The collection had a total value of over $100 million and included at least 618 cars,[7] including: seven Duesenbergs; the 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost featured in the film Titanic; John F Kennedy's 1962 Lincoln Continental Bubble Top limo, and a 1937 Bugatti Type 57 Atalante.[4]"
9 here. I will not take a "chill pill dude." Where do you think that $20 billion came from? All he did was to shift wealth from one segment of society to another. Businesses create wealth, and he sucks off of it on behalf of people who aren't willing to abide by the terms of "informed consent," and "investment risk." His "charitable contributions" are a feeble attempt to have people forget the pariah that he is. Thankfully, Wikipedia is there to remind us.

Oh, 18, your recitation makes your position sound so much more reasonable. The guy died, get over your ideological-driven hatred.
Did anyone notice that Westlaw made a colossal fuck up this morning? CHECK YOUR EMAILS (if you are in law school).
9 here again. The only sympathy in this case is for the tree that gave its life to stop his car. [Moment of silence, please.] No seatbelt. Speeding. Lifetime of being a leach on productive society. We know where his is now.
Interesting article here about O'Quinn's car collection and the guy he hired to look after it: http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2006/0109/125.html
We get your point 9. When you die, please have someone post notice on ATL and let us know where we can go to piss on your grave.
25--I'll add a codicil for this today!
9, 18 & 23.
wow - that's like $80 billion in cars, then.
