As long as food racism abounds, I, for one, will not work for it.

This is to be known as the Rush Limbaugh Corollary.

i guess the 1st tier law school didn't teach him never to end a sentence with a preposition

Anyone willing to work for free is not worth the time it would take me to instruct them on what to do.

I am disgusted and appalled at this dilatory nescient. If you offer your services for free, you failed to work sufficiently hard in life.

What's even worse is that the guy had to pay $25 to advertise the fact he would work for free.

I'm thinking American University. Or as it likes to call itself "Washington College of Law"

Anywhere in the "surrouding" area? Where is that exactly?

Where's the "DOJ Secure" guy? That's the absolute best shtick on this site.

We need to bomb advertising expenses back to the stoneage!

Seriously? No mention about the Winston re-deferral? Why not go back to current reports on news and gossip (you know... tabloid style, with some colorful commentary on law firms and the legal profession thrown in) rather than the hourly release of prepared pieces?

12: Thank you. Also, can you please help me get a job at DOJ?

Thanks,

I hope free guy really screws something up and gets slapped with a big malpractice suit.

If your past employers told you that you would have an easy time finding work because of how qualified you are when they laid you off, one thing you can offer to do is work for free, but not do pro bono. That way you can forever tag yourself as a sap, waste valuable time and call it "experience", and demonstrate for all concerned that you are unemployed for a reason. Then you follow it up with a backfist to superman punch, and the flying knee if it connects.
The practice of law is a street fight. And this guy is not keeping his hands up.

#1 is so sad. What is next? Applicants will give money to work at law firms. This is what happens when the law of supply and demand is ignored, keep opening those law schools.

17 -- Stop to think about that logically. The guy is offering to work FOR FREE at a law firm. Even if a law firm takes him up on the offer, they aren't going to be assigning him to their prized cases. At best, he'll be able to handle cases with $15-$20K in damages. So if he screws it up -- and if, under some wacky hypothetical circumstance, he somehow ends up being liable for the malpractice rather than the firm -- he'll be hit with about a half a semester of loans' worth of damages. Whoopty do.

Professor Jones made the mistake of looking for a street hooker at the price of $20. Should have used a high-end provider for a discreet transaction.
