Including Maryland bar exam results.

Maryland Quarter Old Line State.jpg* Congratulations to Marc Randazza, ATL’s counsel in Jones v. Minkin, on another successful representation. [The Legal Satyricon]

* Speaking of free speech, is a college acting unconstitutionally by banning so-called “empty-holster protests”? [Courthouse News Service]

* Maryland bar exam results are out. Congrats to all who passed! [Maryland State Board of Law Examiners]

* In the wake of the Maine vote, is there such a thing as “Gay Apartheid”? [Transracial]

* Remember the Notre Dame 1L impersonator? He may be “weird and unethical,” but he didn’t break any laws. [WNDU]

* The ATL running group will be meeting tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 a.m., at the East River 6th Street track. All are welcome. [Above the Law]

I suppose I should know the answer to this, but did Glenn Beck rape and murder a young girl in 1990?

What is a Maryland?

Between Lat and Kash, who is more likely to be noticed for running like a girl?

12 Posted by JaKe Emeritus | Permalink Friday, November 6, 2009 8:18 PM

I posted this in an earlier post, but no readers were up to the task. Are you?

I frequently use words so sophisticated that my BlackBerry and laptop's spell check thinks it is a misspelled word. Does anyone know where I can download a preeminent peer spell checker?

avatar
13 Posted by guest | Permalink Friday, November 6, 2009 8:19 PM

JaKe, why don't you just get a secretary to type for you?

avatar

Our lives are hollow. Aren't they?

15 Posted by guest | Permalink Friday, November 6, 2009 8:59 PM

Jake - what, your blackberry doesn't recognize when you type "I'm a gigantic douchebag?"

Weird.

@16: My thoughts exactly.

Do your BlackBerry and laptop use the same spell check system?

Interesting.

ShaFeef, if you are done pleasuring yourself with JaKe's mouth and anus, may I buy him from you. Since our prized she-camel died, our male camels are in need of some release.

I passed too! But apparently I was in a dumb corner of the convention center...of the 20 people surrounding me, 9 failed. I wonder what the pass rate is (but not enough to sit there and count, especially because I'm a bit tipsy at the moment).

Elie-
When is the shoving shit down your pie hole group meeting?

avatar
25 Posted by guest | Permalink Saturday, November 7, 2009 3:44 AM

Maryland is for those who like the charm of Michigan, but seek milder winters.

I.e. shithole.

26 Posted by guest | Permalink Saturday, November 7, 2009 5:41 AM

My quick estimate is that @78% passed.

avatar
27 Posted by guest | Permalink Saturday, November 7, 2009 9:58 AM

26 - I quickly (counting the "fails" using the browser's "find and next" commands) got 78.9% pass rate, so I think that your figure is pretty accurate. We're looking at a 78-79% pass rate for MD

ELIE: Where is the obligatory MPRE post? After getting 50/60 on the Themis Bar Review, and thinking I was in good shape, I felt like I only knew about 30% of the questions and guessed on the rest. Bummed.

Maryland is the richest state in the union by household income. Sure, a lot of it is DC money that moved across the boarder, but you don't even know about that Baltimore County horse money.

Continue editing the comments on an online tabloid. I'll keep editing my preeminent peer law school's law review.

#31 Maybe because the law school is not even in the DC Metropolitan Area.

To the editors of ATL:

I believe something is wrong with your comment posting mechanism. After reading every posted comment, I have been unable to locate any of the following:

(1) Self-important FTT student hack who disparages the Maryland Bar as being really easy (and ironically ignoring his school's ridiculously top-heavy grading system that ensures a B+ average or higher to merely the top 65% of the class);

(2) Another FTT who calls UMD a "TTT", preferably by incorporating the "TTT" into UMD in an unclever and predictable way (e.g. "UniversiTTTy of Maryland");

(3) The same FTT idiot in (1) posting yet again about how hard the [insert state] bar is, and that only TTTs take the Maryland bar;

(4) Another FTT student hack claiming that anyone who scores below a 170 on an LSAT could not possibly become a successful attorney, despite that the FTT hack has never actually practiced law, or in fact actually worked a day in a real job during his life; and

(5) A blatantly racist or homophobic reference, cited either with junk science (likely misspelling the title of the work or the author(s)) or simply ipse dixit.

I have found these types of comments on every ATL posting announcing the release of bar exam results in a given state, but not this time. I can only surmise that your posting mechanism has been disabled.

I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Thank you.

What the fuck just happened? How is it at all possible that the "Transracial" guy in his post on "Gaypartheid" actually said something sensible?

Was he high and simply writing stream of consciousness stuff? Did someone hijack that site?
