It's pretty amazing that the DLA has now added Mel Martinez and Tom Daschle in the course of one month. Daschle made in excess of $2 million at Alston Bird and one can only imagine he'll make more at DLA Piper. Martinez is probably making at least $1 million.

I can't imagine that the staff and associates at DLA are too happy, considering all of the layoffs and salary cuts. Does anyone really think these guys are going to bring in enough business to justify their enormous salaries?
