I enjoy this thread but I have to give it a B+. If I was going to make things up about Davis I would say that accreditation was taken away and the ABA has stated it can not be regained. I would at least try to be more creative. And why are we handing out bones? Why should they be accredited by the state? I wish I got here a little earlier, it could have been fun.
No. 264 (and anyone else that is “confused” about Davis’ accreditation) – if you seriously find ATL to be a reliable source then don’t waste your money applying – it’s a small school and won’t be taking you no matter how diverse you are.

264, it is accredited– 100%– by the California state bar. So, it’s not a bad choice if you’re absolutely sure that you want to practice in the state of California. If there’s even a chance you wish to attend elsewhere, Davis is a bad option due to the lack of ABA accreditation. They say they’ll get it back by 2012, but I wouldn’t take that chance.

I don’t regularly look at this, but the comments on this silly story certainly support my belief that the best and the brightest of today’s legal community sit in fancy big city offices bored, doing nothing, and talking about their legal degrees.
