Pls Bring Back Marin Thx

Marin is away this week. She’s on vacation. But don’t worry, she reports that she’s having a miserable time. She wilts when people aren’t constantly asking her to fix their miserable lives.
Without Marin, a confused law student turned to Slate’s Dear Prudence to help her out with some troubles. Apparently this law student spent the winter break interviewing for summer associate positions. One firm asked her to come into the office for what turned out to be a wholly inappropriate test run.

After the jump, I wonder what Marin would say.

If Marin were here, she still wouldn’t be answering this question. She’d be too busy trying to convince this law firm to turn their summer associate program into a reality television show.
But she’d certainly say that the level of inappropriateness determines whether or not the student should consider pursuing the job. I’m guessing she’d say that talking, crying, and sharing pictures was all fine, but no touching. Unless the partner was really good-looking and financially stable. Then, maybe, second base — just as a little taste, to make sure she gets invited back for the summer.
Me? I think we all know that in this job market I think law students should be prepared to put out or get out, to make way for somebody who will. Nobody should put you in an uncomfortable situation, but beggars can’t be choosers. Somebody is going to do what it takes to get the job, why not you?
What do you guys think?
Assuming Marin doesn’t find a permanent house-sitter for her cats, she’ll be back next week.
