3. Lawsuits against the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) by trapped subway riders.
Some 400 people were stuck overnight on an unheated A train coming back from Kennedy Airport. And they weren’t the only ones. Riders on the N, D, and 7 lines were also trapped on stalled trains (although for shorter periods of time).
