The U.S. News Top 10 Law Schools

The U.S. News law school rankings come out tomorrow, Tuesday, March 15. In the meantime, however, U.S. News has given us a little teaser.

They’ve posted the top 10 law schools, over on their website. Let’s take a look, shall we?

If you surf over to the U.S. News website, you see the top 10 law schools — listed in alphabetical order. How lame!

School Name (State)

Columbia University (NY)
Harvard University (MA)
New York University
Stanford University (CA)
University of California–Berkeley
University of Chicago
University of Michigan–Ann Arbor
University of Pennsylvania
University of Virginia
Yale University (CT)

Does this list look familiar? It should. The top 10 schools for this year are the same as last year.

This shouldn’t come as a shock — there’s a high degree of stability in the top 10, as well as the top 14 (the so-called “T14”). The really interesting action comes from schools moving within the top 10. Last year, even though the top four schools didn’t change from the prior year, there was a fair amount of movement in the #5-#10 range.
