Oh, to be a newborn babe. A bright Cherub of innocence and hope who opens his eyes for the first time to look upon the world as if it were new. Oh, to be a administrator at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and see a brave new world with such people in it.

Yes people, today is the day that John Marshall Law School set up its very own Facebook page for prospective students. Yes, yes, we are dealing with veritable scions of forward thinking. Early adopters all!

Prospective students of John Marshall, prepare to have your minds blown. From a school wide email:

We are happy to announce that Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School has an official Facebook page. If you are unfamiliar with Facebook, it is a social networking Internet site with over 500 million users worldwide. The purpose of our Facebook page is to connect the entire JMLS community including current students, Faculty, Administration, and prospective students. There is a Forum set up for current students, Alumni, and prospective students to post comments and share their stories. We have also added various photo albums, notes from the Dean’s and Admissions, as well as listed upcoming events. This site is not meant to replace our current website but rather provide an additional avenue into the law school community.

If you do not have a Facebook page and would like to be a part of this online community, please visit www.facebook.com and follow the simple instructions on setting up a page. If you choose to set up a page, I suggest reviewing the security options to determine who can view your page before posting it. Otherwise, everyone in the community will be able to view what you have posted. If you plan to use Facebook to network with your own friends and family, I suggest creating both a personal and a professional page. This would just require using two different email addresses and setting up two separate pages.
