Dear Students,

I look forward to welcoming all of you back on campus when classes begin on September 12. For those of you who are participating in the upcoming Early Interview Program, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all the best next week. While no one was immune from the economic downturn, over the past two years, graduate employment figures for Harvard law students have matched those over the prior twenty years. I commend the superb work of our Career Services and Office of Public Interest Advising staff members and the energetic efforts by students here in achieving these results.

Despite the current uncertainties in the market, I know that you all have very bright futures ahead of you. I am confident that employers will see all the amazing qualities that you have just as we did when we admitted you.

For those of you not participating in the Early Interview Program, there are some great activities and speakers on campus, and opportunities to meet incoming students. I look forward to a great year together and send best wishes!

Martha Minow
