The worldwide mega-firm of Baker & McKenzie takes the #1 spot for the second year in a row. This news should lift the spirits of demoralized San Diego support staff.

Right behind Baker & McKenzie and Skadden Arps is DLA Piper, at #3. DLA is a new entrant on the list; as Am Law explains in a footnote, this is the first time it’s publishing global statistics for DLA.

The only other new entrant to the top ten is Hogan Lovells. As you will recall, Ho-Love resulted from the mating of Hogan & Hartson with U.K.-based Lovells.

And what about the closely watched metric of profits per partner?
